OnePlus One.

Rang PayPal today to inquire about getting a refund, as we are nearly two weeks from ship date. The CSR created a claim for me and I will be refunded in 11 days if OnePlus doesn't respond. Given that they can't even be bothered to reply to my support ticket of 6 days ago, I'm not sure what to expect. Would happily take either phone or £275 but having neither is not good :(

Picked up the phone today! My first high-end phone so excited to have it! It's big! :o
I don't even know where to start with all the customizing themes/settings/everything.

I'm on 44s, that's ok right?
Also, before I do start fiddling with settings and stuff, I want to root the phone so I can put Cerberus on. Any good guides?

Thanks.
What's the difference between manually rooting and using a program to do it for you?
The only reason why I want to root is for Cerberus, I'm not fussed about all the other custom ROMs or apps, etc.

Ok I've successfully rooted and flashed Cerberus into the ROM. Is it ok if I unroot it?
I'll leave the custom recovery on but is there anything to stop me from removing the SuperSU? Cerberus will still work with full functionality (including enabling GPS)?

Edit: Oh. I need to keep SuperSU to allow Cerberus to enable the GPS?

Got mine this week after ordering on Black Friday. Was surprised that it came via Signed For rather than Special Delivery. I had no problems but would have been a nightmare if it was mislaid.

Impressions so far:

+ Amazing design, materials and build quality for a £269 phone. The Nexus 5 is good value but it feels like a £200 phone in your hand. The 1+1 feels like a £600 phone.
+ Screen is dead good. Surprisingly it is a significantly better browsing/reading experience than the N5.
+ Impressive battery life. Got 7 hours 50 minutes of screen time on the last charge. I could easily get two average days out of it. Battery is about a third bigger than the N5, but feels like more.
+ Capacitive buttons work well and do a good job of extending the screen size further.
+ Sound quality surprisingly decent through both speaker and headphones.
+ As fast as you would expect from any phone with the 801 CPU and 3GB RAM. Noticeably faster than N5.
+ Camera is okay - certainly much better than N5 (albeit that doesn't take much).

- It's too big. For me it's past the point where one-handed use is practical. I think my limit is about 5.2in.
- The multi-touch feels a bit buggy. It misses taps when I'm typing, which my N5 never did.
- Doesn't work on O2 4G. Apparently 4G only works on Three and EE. I know it's indecently cheap, but coverage of all the major LTE bands is a must for a high-end phone now.
- Some software bugs and annoyances. For example, some 3D games run with low frame rate. You can fix this by changing the power profile to 'performance', but this locks the CPU at 2.4GHz and presumably hammers the battery.
- The customisability of Cyanogen is nice to an extent, but the sheer number of options is unwieldy. For example, it asks whether you want your lock screen pattern to be 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 or 6x6. Who cares?

Sadly I think I'll have to sell it. I really like the 1+1, especially the design and battery life, but the impossibility of one-handed use and lack of 4G are killers for me. Dunno what I'll get now though - N5 feels really small! Moto X 2014 maybe.

Funny now they are back to invite only, my son wants one.

Looking for a 16Gb white invite cos' that is all he can afford since he broke his nexus 5 ... which was weird cos' when we took it apart the battery was all bulged up.

No worries if there is not one available...

Cheers

Ordered on the 10th December, arrived today. It arrived in the UK (Heathrow) yesterday.

Manufacturing date is 21/11/2014 so the phone was made about 3 weeks ago!

Had issues with installing suitable drivers on my PC, required to use Helium to back everything up, but the backup from my old phone is restoring now.

First impressions:
- It's huge! Big compared to my HTC One (m7). Not too big for my hand, it's OK.
- It's fast. Noticeably faster at doing pretty much everything.
- The theme store is great. Really easy to change the "theme" of the phone and change the overall look of it.

I'll keep my eyes out on my email and my account page of the official website to see if I get an invite I can share with someone on here soon.

Google will likely honour a warranty on it if you didn't break any seals.

Sadly by the time that I got to it, it already had a smashed screen and had been partially dismantled including a missing power button.

Screen broke,
Battery bulging
No power button

= New phone time. Though I hate to reward carelessness, accidents do happen.
