I can't help but think this wont be such a bargain when it is finally released : /. In June the G3 is out and according to latest reports today, the S5 prime is as well, and the article I read said the S5 Prime will be released at roughly the same price point as the S5 was. The S5 Prime is supposed to have QHD screen, Snapdragon 805's, 3gb ram, 32gb on board e.t.c.

Yes the One Plus One will still be cheap but it wont seem AS cheap seen as the tech inside it wont be the latest anymore.

That is technology :p You buy for now and not xx time in future.

I would be SHOCKED if the S5 Prime comes under £500.

Oh I agree. I just think it would see much more success if they released it at the same time as the current flagships - i.e. start of April and not done all this silly marketing/smash phone stuff.
 
I don't think they should bother with a UK launch or EU even. How can they differentiate when they bring out the band 20 inclusive model without giving it another name? But then what would you call it? One Plus One Plus?
 
Given up on reading about this and its 'release' system. Already eyeing up the LG G3 or an Oppo Find 7 to replace my Find 5.

I said from the start that the invite system is rubbish..

they hyped it up and couldn't deliver the phone on the day of announcement or soon after.

what happens is the hype goes up, people want to order etc because everyone talks about it and then slowly it gets forgotten and only the small amount of actual FAN boys dare I say, wait for the pre-orders to open.
 
Well it's a good thing that they're not going to try to go mainstream with this model as they'd have a hard time explaining to customers that their phone is semi 4G compliant, especially at a time when networks want to push 4G. I mean, Apple had gotten the same complaints with the iPhone 5 and that was when 4G wasn't even launched in the UK!
 
Is it me or are these still very scarce on the ground? I'm still waiting for some real life reviews etc that aren't from news websites.

Nonetheless, I'm very interested, my S3 is making me so frustrated, its so slow! Going from ~800mb usable ram (most of the time only ~200mb of which is free) to 3GB in total would make be a huge performance increase I'm sure.
 
Video looks great I'm really excited the only downside is the band 20 imo, I'd have to move to Three the review looks promising and imo Cm is a huge plus and I'm certain they will be rolling frequent updates and bug fixes out.
