Higher overall idle current was isolated to an i2c 2c power management issue, this is resolved with the patches that just went in. We're idling at 3.5mA, which is LOWER than 25R, so yay for us
The proximity sensor issue is harder to reproduce but it's confirmed, we are working on this now
 
Gotta admit that I'm impressed with CM too, very open communications.

N6 rumored specs, even the ones that sound like the perfect handset, don't bother me.
Buy tech for the here and now.
OPO is a beast of a handset and is very quick. A new nexus won't change that. Case in point, n5. Still a good handset although the tech is last gen.

With CMs feature set and a commitment to Android L within 90 days, that's good enough for me for the next 9-18 months. Assuming CM continue support past L, jobs a good'en.

Anyway, on the OPO handset, is the silver surround plastic or metal?

Got mine yesterday too, says the same still....

Oddly I got a two pin adaptor in the nice OP box and a very cheap and nasty looking UK adaptor in a plastic bag. Wont be using that.


Not had a great deal of time to play with it as I've been away all week and only got back yesterday evening, had to fly past work to collect it!

First impressions are good, had two OTA's running 4.4.4 now, screen yellowing is minimal, more to follow.

well, been using it for 2 days and its very nice, but the yellow screen is bothering me a lot

my mate wants to swap his Note 3 for it and cash my way (good money!) so may go for this and wait till Note 4/Nexus 6 announcement and decide then.

still in 2 mnds
 
It bothered me a lot but now I've stopped talking about it and reading about it I've forgotten and got over it. I'll still get a nexus 6 if it's a beast though
 
The opo has a 5.5" screen, whereas the N6 will most likely be a 5.2"

it's not much of a difference, but I have compared my G2 to the wifes G3 and I do prefer the everso slightly bigger screen. It feels much nicer, strangely
 
A strange bug that I saw someone on XDA mention. 100% JPEG quality is doing strange things with its compression and the file sizes are around 2mb but if you stick it to 95% the file size can go up too 6mb+.

Who knows if the difference is noticeable, but good to know for those who take lots of photos.

I bought that twin pack and they work perfectly, nice fit with rounded corners.

Annoyingly it normally says Processing until it is actually delivered. I got an email with my tracking details just as the package arrived, which I thought was funny.
Apart from not knowing the actual status of your order, the shipping itself is rather fast.

Seem to be the same for everyone I've seen that's ordered the UK version. Mine is going to Parcel Motel before getting to me in Ireland. I'm hoping it doesn't take too long. Going to be upgrading from an iPhone 4S. :D

I had ordered mine on a Saturday, it made it down to Cork with parcel motel by the Friday. So not too shabby.

Oh that's extremely reassuring.

I ordered on the 12th, so hopefully it arrives early next week.

Does anyone know any decent lapel mics for this phone? For some reason I can't create a new thread on the official forums, and the search brings up nothing there.
