OnePlus One.

Not that difficult to do, their availability is so poor you need an invite to pre-order the damn phone. Its either that or video yourself smashing your phone for a chance to 'win' the phone for $1.

Not very impressive even for a newcomer.

Yeah thats a bit weird I hope its just for 1st week or so to hold back the masses while they try and figure out regional demand.

What use are stereo bottom facing speakers? HTC have the right idea with front facing stereo speakers in landscape orientation. How many people do folks know that watch videos on a large screened phone in portrait?

I’m willing to bet none.

They could have had a very easy win with 100% of people especially given those prices above but as always, no manufacturer ever ticks all boxes and instead relies on hype.

it is a nice device but the invitation system just ruins the whole thing? why the hell would you do that :o

limit the number of pre-orders if needed but I'm not going to sit on some forum begging for an invite so I can spend my money? wut.

I pretty much lost all interest when the hype machine ramped up. I wished them good luck for the launch (which isn't a launch) and doubt I'll have much need to go back to that cluster**** of brown nosing eejits.

It can be a good idea or bad depending on the way you have to obtain an invite. I'd rather be able to just get something by showing my interest early on rather than potentially missing out on limited pre ordered which is obviously the problem.

I'm out. I hate the speakers on the bottom of my Nexus 5 (especially as LG/Google inexplicably put them on the bottom-right, inevitably covered by a hand in landscape mode... ie most games, videos, etc). While this is better, in that you'd expect one at the bottom right and the other at the bottom left, I'm not making that mistake again. I'd rather have rear-facing and cupping it than it placed on the bottom or top, or even speakers on the side of phone.

Given the value, it's a huge shame, but of all the new phones there are only two flagships with front-facing speakers? These companies need to start listening to their customers, especially ones trying to make a breakthrough. There are issues with all the flagships.

So it's actually bigger than the Z1? Ergh... I have small hands :(.

Nice to see stereo speakers but the fact it's at the bottom bugs me.

At least the price is nice but no proper UK 4G support seems pretty poor.

I'll stick with my HO M7, but hopefully for the next phone they'll do better, they seem pretty promising.

I just can't help but feel this phone would have done better as a 5" rather than 5.5", there's just a bigger market to appeal to!

It's basically the same size as the Note 3, which will put it out of consideration for a lot of people instantly. They could have gone with a smaller phone, and tried to fill the gaps that the M8 and S5 have left.

A 5" phone with nice build materials, good speakers, good internals and a nice screen, but with a good all round camera could do really well at the moment.

Ah well :(

I strongly agree.

If the price translates to UK prices then I'm still impressed.

I have small hands and would have prefered a 5" without a doubt, but the spec, price (64GB model in particular), look about this phone with Cynogen onboard is exceptional. I genuinely feel this will sell extremley well the hype wagon has took off even more after the reveal minus the few moaners about the dimensions.
