OnePlus One.

Wow...they can't be making much money on this then!

Trumps the Nexus 5 on specs and software. 3GB RAM + 64GB...yes pls.

Anyone know of an app to show which LTE your currently on?

EE has some 800mhz not sure if they rolled it out, but it is mostly 1800mhz and 2600mhz. For the price this phone seems awesome, but its just too big.

That gadgetshow link says its 'based on android' but cyno own os. Is it just cynogenmod or a completely different os? Reason i ask is simply: will the play store and apps work?

That phone for £229?! OK this now has my attention. How does the update process work re CyanogenMod? Will still get OTA updates etc?

Based on a comment I saw on Androidauthority: yes, play store will work.

The price makes this worth a punt but availability in the UK seems to be a challenge.

I have a hunch that the first batch will be at this price to attract interest and later batches that are actually available outside the invite programme will be substantially more expensive.

read the thread...just band 20 missing.

Three and EE use 1800MHz Band 3 mainly AFAIK.

I just checked both for my area and 4G is outside only. Where as Voda is inside and out. But it work's on 800GHz band 20 :(

I'm going to wait to see if the Oppo 7 comes down from £349.

Bit disappointing overall.

No LTE band 20
No micro sd
hardware buttons at bottom of screen
No wireless charging
Bottom, downward facing speakers, would have been better either on the front or move one from the bottom to the top edge.
Thumbs down also for embedded battery
No IR blaster

The CPU, memory and camera is good for the price but not sure I can compromise on the above.

This does look rather good, to be fair.

However... the invitation system is a complete farce. Any company that tries to make me jump through hoops to buy their product can **** off.

This.

It's only £207 in china! and in a few months time they should be easy to get. That's if it takes off.

Looks lovely to be honest, But they should have put the speakers on the front!

The invite system does suck big ones though!

No LTE band 20 - not really bothered about threes H+ is plenty fast enough
No micro sd - doesn't bother me i can see how it bothers others i guess
hardware buttons at bottom of screen - can make onscreen buttons from the settings but it should have been onscreen (reason below)
No wireless charging - not a big one really
Bottom, downward facing speakers, would have been better either on the front or move one from the bottom to the top edge. - Should have been on the front instead of the capactive buttons
Thumbs down also for embedded battery - not bothered near a charger most of the time
No IR blaster - count on 1 hand how many times i have used this on the htc one
No NFC - never used it even though i have it.

It does have NFC, that was my mistake as I missed how it was listed in the specs.

Still quite a lot to compromise on though for something that is touted as a flag ship killer and the design is based on the mantra of 'never settle'.

Well despite the compromises, I look forward to reviews and performance analysis (including battery). The price is pretty good and despite it missing the 800 mhz band, it could be an alternative to the Nexus 5?

There's still the question of actually being able to buy the thing!
