OP have apparently announced that you can buy the black backs through customer services for $29.
Good for spares i suppose, but I'd have preferred a bamboo back. :-p

Yes you've missed a lot. Franco left last week, he was fixing the most important things but 1+\CM said no.

This is the reason there was no update last month or last night. People are thankful that he is still doing fixes that CM can't.
 
Me thinks its time to sell out while it still holds value.
I'd be happy enough if I get what I paid for it from aliexpress.

Thinking of the z3 as replacement :)

Nope, i re-read it a few times, just looks like a disgruntled employee.
Not saying that things are ideal, but one employee annoyed does not mean a lack of support.
 
I'm not convinced. OnePlus people always seemed a bit flaky to me anyway and recent developments just emphasises that thought a bit further.

SC's always been a top dev and active member of the community. Not one to be randomly "disgruntled" and begin "moaning".
 
I'd like to install an app that requires root, if I do root my phone would this mean I no longer receive ota updates?
Are there any other consequences to rooting my phone, I've read about banking apps but I don't use these so that isn't a problem.

Received mine today, all good so far. build quality is very good and I really like the texture of the back.

Performance is great so far, not K1 great but still very good.

Very happy with the device so far and haven't noticed any issues. :D

Sure the keyboard multi-touch hardware issue is annoying

But still no real competition price wise

I agree. For £269 I'm very pleased. Its a really good phone.

Whats the multi touch issue? I haven't noticed any issues.

Just don't look for the yellow and you are good to go !

I've been looking and not noticed this on mine.

I like how solid the phone feels and much prefer it to a friends iPhone 6 plus (I'm not against apple).
