OnePlus One.

Rather amusingly/annoyingly the phone in its official flip case fell out my hand getting out the car, the case comes off as its falling and it hits the pavement full on the front...ouch.

Thankfully the screen itself isn't damaged or scratched, only damage to the glass is a half a mm scratch in the extreme top right on the bezel.
Unfortunately though the "metal" surround (has it been confirmed either way?) is now scratched and dented even worse. So depending on your point of view, the "surround" is either really soft and is badly designed, or its well designed as its doing its job of protecting the screen itself. :p

I guess my question is, is it worth paying twice as much for a Z3, G3, M8 etc. to avoid all these OPO niggly issues?
Tbh, since the last OTA the only outstanding issue that is a deal breaker is the multi-touch. The others aren't deal breakers. I've got about 5-6 friends/colleagues with the OP and they all are in the same mindset. If your willing to root you can wait for the OTA to drop to fix it or flash Franco.
Im certainly not of the opinion that the devices you mention are worth the extra though.
Cant go wrong with any of them really though, its a good time to be a tech enthusiast really.

It's not really comparable to those though. A LG G2 compares well and can be picked up for about £240. The stock android skin is pretty bad though.

Nothing better bang for buck
Others are only marginally better even if all same price

I'd actually still pick this phone out of everything atm even at equal price

Had my One for 3 weeks now, so far so good. Have bought a diztronic tpu case and nillkin tempered glass for it.

Just waiting for the next OTA to be out soon, which they say will fix the multi touch and ghost touch/swipe press issues. Time will tell if it's hardware or software issue.

I would never buy a big phone (my last phone a z1 compact), but after getting this and trying it for a while I'm used to it now, it doesn't seem so big anymore. Fits in trouser pockets no problem.

Of course it compares to them. It has 3 GB ram and a snapdragon 801 processor, as do they. Where as the lg g2 has 2gb ram and snapdragon 800 processor.

It should do, Franco has the new touch screen firmware from synaptics in his kernels and it's no longer an issue for many. The only thing that remains to be seen is if it comes in the next official kernel or not. Either way, there's a real world solution.

Very good :D:D

Ok I'll help you since your most likely an x-apple user.
Place the phone on a pillow. Then start up the app for multi touch. Then try to place as many fingers
on the screen till it ****s up. Then it will tell you how many.

Just had another email from 1+ and they said they can now give me a fully working phone with no screen problems hmm

Damn I really dislike your horrible tone.

If its so bad why would you even take that offer, I mean its not like you can lay it down on a pillow and use all of your digits.

I think I'll just wait as they said the OTA should be out by next week (I've never flashed before). I've heard some good things about the Franco kernel and the new drivers. Hopefully that should fix the problem.

They said there's a few more surprises too in the next update, so let's see what brings.

Well that escalated quickly... excited :D
