You won't do, the ML115 is priced cheaper by HP as standard and it has a better promotional price aswell.

I'm using Kingston part KTH-XW4400E6/2G.

Don't forget it's ECC DDR-2

just 8gb of normal ocz 5400 gold series in my ml110. I had it lying about & it works fine. I was going to get some ecc for it but am not going to bother now.

Does the mobo have a USB header suitable for conencting to a card reader as I'm wanting to drop one in above the DVD.

Can't seem to find the answer online.

According to the specs it has two internal usb ports. I'd wager that they're proper usb ports (i.e. like external ones) rather than headers for the connection of tape drives and usb sticks (for ESXi etc) rather than just pins though.

have an order placed for a Quad core 2.1 Ghz, 250GB, 512 MB ram.

But also got on order 3 x 500GB drives, 8 GB Ram so should be fairly decent spec for the money

Ah yes, I was thinking that the ML115 was "five better than" the ML110 I remember now that the 0/5 indicates the processor type.

I bought one with crucial 8gb ram.

I bought it for vmware but:

ML115G with ESXi - SATA recognised for VMFS but poor performance
ML115G with ESX - SATA recognised after hack and great performance, but causes SCSI errors and eventually hangs ...

SO mine is a door stopper at the moment.
