Orderd my new home cinema/living room setup

I really need some speakers/5.1 and those Kefs look awesome. Due to the living room setup I cant have floor standers but those look perfect.

Nice unit mate, I couldn't afford the 605 so I ended up with the 505 instead.
The people who I bought it off said that the 505 wouldn't give the full true HDMI surround sound but the full HDMI picture was possible.
I've put mine together with 5:1, but looking at setting it up with 7:1

They are pretty decent :)

I'd also consider the Tannoy Arena system, and replacing the center speaker with a full-size centre on any satellite-based system. It makes a huge difference for not a huge amount extra.

Hmm... I'm considering getting a refund when this TV gets collected and going for a 50" Plasma, any recommendations for around £1300ish max?
Panasonic 50PZ70 / 80 if you want a 1080p screen, though those are a little over budget from a quick search; the Samsung 50" Q97 at a bargain £670 (ocuk) if you want a 720p screen (or Samsung's 2008 range which is just coming out)

Yeah I was looking at PZ70 when I was originally looking at TVs, is the PZ80 any good? The Q97 is a right bargain but i'm guessing it's from the previous generation of panels?
Yup, 70 and Q97 are 2007 series, 80 and [whatever Samsung are calling their new plasmas] are the new '08 models :)

The PZ80/85 plasmas are gorgeous. I saw the PZ85 next to your TV (samsung series 6) and the plasma was just much more impressive overall.

I've only briefly compared them to the older 70 generation but I think the general belief is they're not much different, although searching over at www.avforums.com will provide much more info :)
