Orderd my new home cinema/living room setup

Nice setup mate looks lovely. Bit worried about heat build up with the onkyo in the cupboard though, the do run hot and need good ventilation.
How does the onkyo sound by the way? is there much of a difference between dd/dts and dd true hd/dts master audio?

They do run hottish, pretty warm but not too hot to touch or anything, I usually run mine with the front of the AV unit open and IMO its fine. At the moment I only have my xBox 360 for movies so haven't had a chance to test out the HD sound yet!

TBH I'm suprised how in proportion it looks to the room... I was imagining it would make the room look tiny! I would have got a 50" if they did them of the 6 series. Unfortunatly the next size up from the 46" is the 52" which is a tad too big in size and price!

I'm also looking at getting some of those colour changing LED strips to put behind the screen, anyone know where you can get them from?

avforums, do a search for 'apollo lighting kit'. you can get them straight from the site but if you go through avforums you'll get a discount!

i dont tend to look at my 805 that much. i listen to it :p
 
build quality is important, but looks im not so worried about. id take an onkyo over an inferior sounding sony any day of the week. the 605/606 are just about as well built as any other amp in their class:) my 805's almost twice the weight though (23kg). its a nightmare to move about, thankfully i dont have to move it often lol
