Origin access PREMIUM (soon)

Seems a lot of money for only EA games..

Wasn't playstation plus only £40 to £45 per year and you got about 4 games every month

Current scheme has been quite good for me, well my son anyway, hes played loads of stuff. :)

£75 a year seems ok, even if you only play 3 or 4 titles.

When you think it’s less than prime it isn’t a bad deal at all.

I like to hoard my games though, especially DRM free installs.

So premier is out now (I may be a bit behind). For £89 per year, this looks a good deal. All the latest games before release along with the older ones you had on the original Origin Access. Being able to play Battlefield V, FIFA 19 and Madden 19 for me is worth the £89. I'd be looking at £150+ for all 3 alone.

Still debating about it myself.

2 games that I know I'll be buying/playing a good bit of are anthem and BF 5, however, if nothing else of interest arrives (aside from future star wars/battlefield games), it will be a bit of a waste as well as costing more in the long run.....

I think that you get all dlc for newer games but maybe not all for games already out. Below of the Sims 4 package.

You do get the best version of the newer game though.

The Sims™ 4 Digital Deluxe with Dine Out and Kids Room Stuff

I don't play enough of their games to warrant anything over the basic package. But if you look at how much time you play those games and work it out per hour it's probably a bargain for most gamers on battlefield games etc.

Compare it to spending that much time in the cinema..

Battlefield, Anthem and FIFA alone make it worth it to me.

Deluxe edition of each would be what? £60?

Thing is though, how likely are you to play those games for?

If for 2/3 years at least (about how long I would play BF and like for) then the origin premium thing might actually work out more.

I don't ever buy from origin though, let alone deluxe versions so the games generally only cost me £30 at most.....

Of course, if EA continue to add more titles in the future then it could work out better value but then you are still tied into paying £90 every year......

Well it is supposed to be EVERY release is added to the vault from here on out.

FIFA every year is a given and then whatever else they lump in... Would only need to be 2 games a year?

If this is a success which I suspect it will despite it basically being what a lot of people have baulked at for years (subscribing to a game for a monthly fee) I think it'll be where they focus their attention for years.

If other companies follow suite in a similar fashion PC gaming will become even more expensive though, I can see uPlay already getting excited..

BF5 - what's the quickest way to play this with access to the beta. It's more complicated than you think, Deluxe edition will give us early access by a couple of days but purchasing Origin Access - says you can play from the 11th? But is this only a 10 hour trial or play as much as you want? If any-one's figured it all out let me know, cause I didn't go to school on the day when they taught this. I don't mind buying Origin access for £14.99 a month before hand if I get 10% off the game and earlier access and play some of their games to pass the time, but surely I'll miss the beta end of August if I do this. CONFUSED!!

Not complicated. see below. If you go eg Origin Premium you can therefore play the FULL Fifa19 Game 8 days before general release date, never times out, the FULL Game.

Would sooner gouge my eyes out than use Origin for anything

Honestly, people are so melodramatic. I'm sure you'd really self-hard rather than use Origin. It's cool to hate companies even when they're bringing something out that's actually good value if you buy some of their games. Get over it man!

I still can't decide I will hammer fifa 19,really looking forward to Anthem not so much bf v, I'm just not sure if it's good value for me as I buy mainly just fifa each year, bf1 was a load of **** imo so not bothered for the next one anyway.
