Origin access PREMIUM (soon)

I have had too many bad experiences, you know what they say about a when a business loses a customer they lose them for life

I cant play fps with a pad so if its any good this battlefield V open beta over the next few days will either sell it to me or make me just buy fifa 19 on ps4.

I still can't decide I will hammer fifa 19,really looking forward to Anthem not so much bf v, I'm just not sure if it's good value for me as I buy mainly just fifa each year, bf1 was a load of **** imo so not bothered for the next one anyway.

Cheapest I can find Fifa 19 is £38 at the moment. I need two copies too so the monthly premium starts to loose its appeal.

I was thinking about getting this but after playing the demo for Madden 19 I don't think I like it more that 18 (PS4). Thinking I'll stick with the basic version.

I doubt I'll play Madden after trying the demo, it's great but prefer other game genre's now.

Battlefield V, the less said the better. I know I will play it, I need an fps fix but the gameplay is just so dull. Bring back the original !!!

Anthem, well this is probably the make or break game for EA and this Prem access. If the game lives upto the hype great but I just have doubts.

The premium access would still be a better prospect than buying them games new with season packs. If after a year I'm still hooked I could always buy said games prolly for buttons.

If you'll likely play two games from EA then even with key prices (which seem to be hovering around £30-£35 for new AAA releases like BFV) then as a minimum Origin Premier is better value for four months then buying separately. Three games? Six months Premier. And that's not to mention the back catalogue you'll immediately have access to either. You could never buy or look at a game like Unravel in a million years but with Origin Premier its there, for free, to download at any time so you might give it a whirl. Missed out on Titanfall 2 due to BF1? Other than missing out on one of the best campaigns of recent times, there's nothing other than time and hard drive space stopping you.
If you look at it purely from a new game perspective then yes it may not look like great value but there are still many hundreds of people playing BF4 for example.

Hmm maybe but while I mostly game on PC my mates have Xbox or PS4s, which means I'll get Anthem in PS4. The basic £20/year membership will give me the back catalogue.

If you solely game on PC then the premier is 100% worth it over buying the titles separately.

I've had Origin Access for a while now and I think it is great value. The thing is I only really play the non EA games with a couple of exceptions.

Signed up for the year to see if its worth it. Will play Fifa and Battlefield plus Anthem looks interesting. Got £18 back from my normal sub so £72 for the year.

Not sure what's worth it, currently on Game Pass for Forza. Need a full list of games on GamePass (for PC) and a direct comparison with Origin. Is there any such list?

So if I've got bfv pre-ordered, wouldn't it work out cheaper just to pay access 20 quid and get the same game or does it not work like that?

If you buy the game it's yours to keep outright.

If you get Premier access in theory your renting all games on Origin for the next 12m. If you didn't renew again in 12m you would lose all access.

True but 50 quid is 2.5 years of the game, not factoring in anything else I like. Is it shared between the Xbox and PC or do you need a subscription for both? I was actually thinking about the basic sub rather than the premier one.

I'll admit I'm shocked at how many people think this is a good idea, which means one of two things.

1. People never learn

Or

2. EA have.

I think its a good idea ,as for the likes of battlefield v ,you get all content for the yearly subscirption {£89.99] the game alone is coming in at £69.99 for the full version .
Not to mention all the other titles .

Its a good idea when you look at the bigger picture! How many people play FIFA 18 Now ? As soon as the new FIFA comes out my old one gets deleted of my SSD , Same with the Battlefield games - Old ones deleted and new one installed , so if you do this it makes complete sense to do the yearly option and get more games ! Would cost you over 100 + Just for FIFA 19 and the New BF V game alone.

Been playing Fifa 19, already got 135 hours play time! Coupled with my son playing a load of the vault games on my account its almost a bargain. Then BF V and Anthem coming, plus a star wars game(not sure how long that will be)

Can see why to some people its not worth it though. :)

If you throw your money at EA titles constantly and don't mind renting/leasing instead of owning, then it is likely to be a cost affective approach.

Just beware that there will likely be an uplift on the subscription in the future.

For me, I only have BF games on Origin and I'm bailing from the series now so it's certainly not for me.
