I hope they fix TvP at some point. ATM it's just a huge joke without CTS micro.

I played against a friend, I did the 4rax build that Polt does a lot after expanding. I went in with over twice the army supply and he just uses FFs, cuts my army in half and makes it into a "even" fight where after he just warped in a bunch more units with ease and raped the rest of my army with the collosi that just popped.

Yea I saw his comments on the whole "Toss OP" debate. He thinks they're so strong he's said he'd wished he chose Toss to play in SC2 which just makes me QQ.

Neither Zerg or Terran has as many units at Toss that can just change an engagement in an instant. Force Fields, Mass Recall, Vortex, Storm, Feedback =/ It's just crazy.
 
Yeah sometimes they are quite op, but most times i don't find them too bad, been doing 15cc into 6rax lately and it makes toss range from they second they don't spot my rax to the second i a move with 50 marines :P fun to do

XD I can't remember who used that 6rax expand build recently in the GSL for the first time.

I'll give it a try next time.
 
Ive recently started playing again and got back into it. I always play Protoss but used to be quite good with Zerg too

My problem is that I hardly ever scout and if I do its later on into the game. When I have tried scouting my resources build up as I cant scout and build at the same time.

How do people manage to scout, attack and build all at the same time. I am classified as silver but would say I play around high bronze level

Had quite a good game earlier where I scouted the opposition DT and went immortal with observers. Backed up with a few marines they seemed to shred my immortals for some reason :confused:

I assume you use hotkeys, that's the best way to scout while also buildings. You shouldn't be scouting and attacking at the same time, scouting should come before an attack.

Observers are probably one of the most overlooked units of a Toss army, why wouldn't you want a magical maphack that only takes 1 supply? XD


Also I'm not sure about your comment about the DT game cos you said he backed them up with Marines XD
Immortals are countered by all tier 1 units though (Zerglings,Marines,Zealots) just because of how their shield passive works.

Watch Apollos Bronze to Plat tutorials on youtube. I watched the zerg ones and they taught me not just how to scout, but how to interpret what you are seeing when you are scouting. Seriously, the vids are great.

Yeah... :(. I still haven't grown completely accustomed to my new hotkey setup which means that during a crisis requiring lots of multitasking i just fall apart. Compound that with my lack of playing recently and the result is that I suck balls. In that specific game, I realised he had enough lings and banelings to bust in and kill me easily, so i decided to take a gamble that i could go and snipe his banelings before he reacted. Didn't work too well but the game was a write off anyway. Didn't scout what he was doing, that was my main mistake.

I've played about 35 games in the past 2 days though and I'm improving rapidly. There are a couple of games towards the end of that video which are more how I'd like to be playing. The one at 41:34 was pretty cool. I should be back up to my old spot in the ladder in a week or so, and then onwards and upwards after that :)

Are you on EU I assume? I'll be on pretty much the whole of tomorrow so i'll join the OcUK chat. That goes to anyone on here - I'm up for a game or two no matter what your league is. Either way at least one of us will learn.

Ugh just got beat by a friend whose a Zerg and she offraced as Terran in our last game together.

I give up, going to quit playing until HotS. With D3 coming in a few days atleast I know I won't fold.

If you don't play between now and HOTS (like december/early 2013) you'll suck balls when you start again. On the plus side there'll be a new spot in masters opening up next season which I may be able to claim :D

I'd agree but only on a mechanics side. The game will hopefully be turned upside down by HotS :D

Once flash starts appearing in competitions and crushing all before him, Blizz will look at that and go "yeah that's why we were right to keep nerfing terran/buffing z and p". Doesn't help us poor scrubs though does it?

Have met 2 players in the last 2 days on ladder who told me at the start they've just switched race from terran as they've had enough. Obviously crushed them but gives you an idea of sentiment.

Awesome, yeah I saw that was what you were thinking, but he was also watching and ran up your ramp so you got caught with your pants down (american term hell yeah). :D

I'll hold you to your word and have a big show down on Wednesday if you are about. :)
