Protoss is the simplest of all the races to learn.

Terran is pretty simple but requires good micro/macro.

Zerg is confusing and requires a lot of APM with macro/positioning. Although when you finally understand it you'll find it's actually very fun to play as they have the funnest units IMO.
 
I wouldnt say the game is necessarily bad - its just plain boring now even top end stuff.
Some of the games yesterday were a joke as they hit late game and it was essentially mass up > lose > mass again > first one to mass wins.
No real drama at all - The biggest problem is unit selection, there just arent enough units that are different enough per race and it kinda limits tactics or options at all stages of the game.

And it seems their heading that way with HOTS too, theyv been working on the game for so long and they still dont have a clue what units they actually want in the game. Just stick them all in ffs and the balance will be corrected through patches. Zero need to cull.
 
I wouldn't say the game is bad. I'd never say that as its a great game, I just think the balance is off and listening to the multiple recent interviews with David Kim and dustin browder it's evident to me that they're idiots.

Are you saying that the units don't vary enough race to race? I disagree. I think each race has its own unique traits and what the game needs is more micro-able units.
When you see MKP take on a maxed Protoss army and micro out of storms while stutter stepping 3 different groups of bio against the zealots and also using his Vikings then it's just such a great sight to see.
Now imagine if Protoss and Zerg had those kinds of units to allow micro to greatly effect the outcome of a fight instead of things like fungal and storm (not that they should be removed)
I know there are micro techniques like Blink micro and FF but when do you really see them being put into play to win a fight? Rarely. I can't remember the last tournament game I saw hardcore blink micro.

I also disagree with throwing in all these units they've thought of and then using patches to deal with them. Especially with Blizzards terrible laziness, they are just soooo slow about doing anything.
This also is going to affect those who earn a living through this game. Imagine how a lot of the teams/players feel in GSTL,GSL and MLG when they've been knocked out by a Zerg(not just Terran) due to this meta game change brought on by the effects of the queen change when there's a a major Zerg expansion coming sometime next year. I bet they're pretty ****ed off seeing as Blizzard dropped it out of nowhere and have definitely caused some upsets due to it.
Can't see any logic in why they didn't announce it for the expansion so that they could actually have extensive testing of it.
 
Mana is going to win. I don't know what Stephano is doing lately. He's lost in the final bracket in two different tournies to the same Immortal/sentry all-in.
 
Stephano doesn't train or practice like any of the other pro players do at his skill level.

He has what can only be described as a natural talent for the game, he's just really good at seeing how things work, learning the timings without much effort and knowing what to do. He plays on instinct and habit more than repeated practice or study.

He's very vulnerable to strategies tailored specifically to defeating him. However, he often adapts incredibly quickly when he faces something he hasn't seen before, or something which takes him out. It's rare that such a thing works twice in the same series against him.

You could definitely see he adapted his defence during the second game and was incredibly close to holding it, had he not been sloppy with some of his patrolling Lings and Roaches, he'd have likely had just enough to tip the balance in his favour and hold it.
 
Was playing a 2v2 random today as Terran, all the others in the game were zerg. Soon as the game starts, my ally says.

no gas
wall off
here

and beacons the ramp.... as if i would wall off anywhere else?? Anyway I was annoyed by his commanding tone so i decided not to wall off to spite him (yeah I'm real mature). I figured as we were rushing we'd have to be unlucky to be 6 pooled else the wall off wouldn't make any difference.

We were double 6 pooled :(.

Starcraft 2

So i played SC2 few years back but feel like playing it again.

Seems to be crazily priced everywhere there are digital downloads available question i had was anyone used g2play for digital downloads?

Also hows it like online, still pretty big?
 
never used g2play

but if you played it a few years ago it will still be your blizzard account

online is pretty dead, taking longer and longer to find games these days.

Never used battlenet then ;)

So why do you think the price is still so high, i though it was due to the online community.
 
because blizzard/activision and they are money grabbing mo'mos.

No sc2 is dead, I have been playing it recently and it takes about 1minute-1:30 to find a game. A few months ago it was 5~ seconds to get matched up. Also playing at silly am I regularly have to wait 3+ to get a game

Yeah I know what you mean. I generally find games within 5-10 seconds. All depends what league you are in and time of the day.
