**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

But science always will show that Scarlett is a guy.

Always > Often

I'm not against trans, they can do whatever they want but don't get ****ed when I refuse to enjoy your logical fallacy.

I think this is going to end up being one of those things where you and others are just disagreeing with little to no real conclusion. I'd personally recommend you look at some more material with respect to transgender people, the stories as well as research that's gone into the subject. Then whatever you choose to think then that's your call. I'm certainly not going to come out of reading this discussion thinking anything different. However with respect to this thread in particular, it's not especially on topic at this point.

So shall we just talk about awesome starcraft instead? :D

Dragon is such a legend, enjoy this.

epiiiiiiic :D:D

Well, you're entitled to your own opinion. Luckily though civilized society has progressed passed your view of things for the most part, and even the legal system supports it, for example even new birth certificates can be created under the Gender Recognition Act 2004.

Anyway, back on topic, Congrats Scarlett, great ultralisk dance at the end there :D

...Pretty much near enough the same. They are pretty much the same mechanics wise except Zerg has the larva mechanic which is worse lol.

Yea i know what you mean. Unfortunately for me it's getting to the point where i'm getting less and less able to talk about the intricacies of matchups from a player standpoint, but my eyebrow is certainly still firmly raised over these queens :p

I agree, it's one of those points that near enough everyone has an opinion on and I'm a supporter that everyone has the right to say whatever they want.

Well I'd class myself as indifferent to it rather than against. It's a lie that Society has accepted it, that's like saying there is no Racism XD
It's legal, free will to do anything that doesn't hurt others is how it should be.

Rotterdam kept referring to Scarlett as he which gave me a chuckle.

lol Trudat.

I still find TvP the worst matchup. Had a guy fail a 5gate earlier and when I went in he just used FFs and wittled away my forces then after a few minutes he had Storm and raped me -_-

I'm feeling it's becoming more and more likely blizzard will actually do something about terran. With all the recent tournaments being pretty much ZvZ, ZvP and occasionally PvP, and half of terran players on ladder either quitting or changing race, it seems likely they'll be forced to act.

I do find it amusing that when ZvT win rates were at dead on 50% for months, the matchup was "T imba", but now Z got buffed for no apparent reason, and has a 56% winrate, it's "balanced" and T players just need to "l2p and innovate". Riiiight. I don't really see what we can do different, and even if we did come up with a strategy it seems pointless. Every single time we have in the past, it's been nerfed to be unviable. Seriously when we can't get any drone kills or force any units from the zerg with early pressure, and we can't keep up with their economy even with our most ridiculously greedy opener... what are we supposed to do? (aside from marine cheese, which is the only thing working for me right now)

When I watch ZvP, I even feel sorry for protoss (something I never thought I'd say). P can only really win either by doing an all-in, or getting lucky with Z making a mistake.

I'm considering changing race to Zerg, at least until HotS comes out, unless some kind of balance patch comes out. If HotS doesn't fix the problems I'll just stick with Zerg. They seem to be getting all the fun new units and upgrades anyway.

Mhmm fair point, I think blizzard really dropped the ball on balancing as they've nerfed all terran openings to balance TvZ terrans strength early game and THEN buffed zerg early game, obviously it gave zerg too much strength early game. It's such as simple mistake one might question their though process.

To give a simple example, now that queen has 5 range why not un-nerf reapers? I hope they will implement changes soon and not wait for the next expansion before any significant balancing decisions although the latter is more likely.

TvZ is at 40:60. The TLPD doesn't take into account online qualifiers (which it should because they show balance more reliably than the GSL)
Blizzard have said before 45:55 is acceptable balance.

Hellion/Banshee or A blue flame opener always does some kind of damage and kills thirds without a hitch. The problem is that the larva mechanic is starting to show how broken it is, I've had several games where before the 15min mark I've killed about 30 workers and then loads of Lings come and he stabilizes in like 5mins without me being able to deal the killing blow.
Or the age old "You killed my army? MAX ON LINGS!"

HotS is going to be a mind**** for several months aswell. They've stated they're making everything really strong so they can nerf it through the beta and after release to a good level. -_-

Btw Sheep you're starting to sound as sour as me. :)

Blizzard's thought process is something you don't want to go near. I think they near half destroy every great game they make XD Plus they'll never admit they're in the wrong.

They also mentioned recently that they might remove the Spider Mine if it's too OP in beta as they believe their current inhouse testing shows. -_-

1st day of the OSL is on today. MvP,Oz and DRG have advanced to the next round so far.

There's actually a pretty cool build involving speed reapers and a medivac here.

Haven't tried it yet, and I admit it's not quite as good and "standard" as reactor hellion used to be, but it does look quite fun.

Unfortunately it won't work in HotS because they're nerfing the reaper (removing D8 charges) so a spine or two will completely shut it down. But I think it'll help see me through the last 6months or so of WoL.

+1
Problem is as others have said Blizz will never admit they're wrong by eg just reversing the queen buff. Best case scenario they'll try and find something else to change, which will then break something else and so on.

If you think toss has it bad, just look at what Terran get. Sod all.

We actually get another reaper nerf. Yay.

Warhound? Looks stupid, boring unit, and basically the same as a marauder. Battle hellion is just the same as a normal hellion but for people who want to a-move. Widow mine is the only good thing and they've said they might well remove it if they can't get it to work. Which is quite probable since blizzard are basically retarded.

That said, the whole metagame will shift in HotS, so we may well see units which are currently considered bad finding a role which wasn't there before. For this reason, even without a zerg or protoss nerf, it's possible that terran will become viable again for my level of play just due to the change of metagame. If it's not, then I'll actually be reasonably happy to switch to zerg. The reason I currently don't like them is due to their lack of microable/fun units and strategies, but HotS seems to be sorting that out. New caster unit, new nydus worms etcetc.

Doing some streaming (link in sig).

I've came up with a potentially awesome new TvZ build. Basically a PF expand into 4 port banshee. A complete all-in, but a really cool one.
