i thought of installing broodwar, i think i have it somewhere. but i want to play sc2 dammit not broodwar :/

That's not a rush, they were way too slow!

I didn't get to go home at lunch time so haven't got to play this yet :(

Being watching a fair few games of this and it all looks awesome ( Bar the commentary on 99% of the games out there..)
I for one cant wait, since the orginal Starcraft was a fair bit before I owned a PC that could do anything, Only played it briefly when my friend graciously borrowed it me, loved the story in the campaign, what little I played anyway, hope it continues in this one!

If only I could pick the original up for like £2 like you can for other games of its age, Its like all the Blizz games still cost £10+!

Someone (I don't know if he wants me to avoid revealing his name in case he gets harassed by others) has very kindly given me a key!

I shall be installing it at lunch time and giving it a blast. Thanks a lot!

/me feels like a kid at Christmas.

Very lucky, congrats.

To return the favour I got from Colin, send me an email and I'll give you one of my 4 starcraft I keys :)

You'll need to get ISO's of the 2 Starcraft discs but I'm sure that won't be an issue.

Here's a few threads regarding SC2 Beta for those that don't read the TeamLiquid forums.

Beta Invite Information - Undisputed- keeps people updated with blue posts from the Official Blizzard forums.

(Blizzard Poster)

No everyone stays. In general there's a lot of player churn with betas. Some percentage of invites won't ever be used, and for those that do sign on there's a decrease in testers as time goes on. It's actually fairly steep. So more and more invites go out to keep numbers of active players where we want them to be for testing.

Making Beta contacts/friends - InReach keeps an updated list for people new to the SC2 beta who want some regular playing partners or just someone to chat with if you happen to be the only one from your regular forum who was lucky enough to get a beta key for example ;)

[Guideline] SC2 Computers - FragKrag is collating a lot of system specs and their ability to run SC2. Some good guideline comparisons if you're thinking about upgrading with SC2 in mind.

[SC2B] Battle.net - 1 Step Forward, 2.0 Steps Back - FrozenArbiter writes about his concerns and observations on the dubious advancements of Battlenet 2.0.

Much has been said about Battle.net 2.0, how they were going to take what made Battle.net great and build on it. Various annoucenements (No online replays, No chat channels) throughout development has made me go from optimistic to skeptical, and back again... so now that I've finally gotten to use it, how many of my fears were unfounded and how many weren't?

Also lots of blogs, VODs, Livestreams, replays available and really great info in general regarding SC2 in their new SC2 Beta section.

No I don't work for them, it's just a great Starcraft site

If you haven't already, you should check out KHB's replays Kreeeee (you'll find them here and here). He's amongst the best players right now it seems and he varies his tactics a lot while playing random so you'll pick up loads of good ideas.

It's just finding out what unit does what and where to research abilities at the moment... unless you pick protoss. They've not changed a bit :p

I'm going to lose the Street Fighter tournament this weekend because I'm going to be spending all my time on this >_<
