**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

I have it and to be honest loosing every ****** match because I'm not a speed demon is demoralising me to the point of not playing, and I have play all the ranked matches to not be up against people who are far far better than me at the game. I just am not operating at the speed these guys are.

However, I understand some good players may choose the noob zone if there was a choice as to where you play with the level of opponents but seriously, this is putting me off RTS multiplayer all over again.

I even tried to play them at their own game just racing up the tech trees and building one of the most powerful units but nope they got there before I did.

The only time I have ever won in 5 hours of playing was rushing as the Zerg, well I say rushing, I was upgrading and taking my time (about 25 minutes), and the guy had a nerve to say it was boring because I "tanked" him with zerglings, and the other fellows.

I get the feeling I'm not the target audience any more.

Thats just Starcraft in general. its always been insanely fast paced. The idea is you need to scout out what their doing first in order for you to counter it. So long as you can counter whatever they throw at you, you'll win a game.

Nomrally games only last between 8-20 minutes. i rarely go past those timers.
Rushes finish the game within about 4-7 minutes depending on the build order thats used. In SCBW, you could end a game in around 3-4 minutes with a 4pool ling rush. and about 6-7 minutes with 9pool/gas with speedlings.

But as with anything, you can still counter it. your workers are extreamly effective against early small ground units. you just need to micro them properly, use your mineral line etc..

APM of 189 atm btw for scbw (in reply to another poster)

Offer still stands for buying a beta key btw :)

Any way to get myself on the Beta if I was unlucky enough not to get one of the lucky dips?

If you're willing to risk using ebay and have £150 - £200 lying around :)

The 3 keys that have been on ebay went for £155, £157 and £200. Whether they actually completed or they'll be relisted soon is debatable of course.

Has everyone used up their blizzcon keys or have any around ? Get in contact with me and i might be willing to buy depending on the price

Can people please stop trying to buy keys here. This is not a trading forum, and even in the members market I'm not sure if it would be allowed. If blizzard havn't given you a key, tough luck. Just wait like everyone else, there will be more keys in the future.

Its not about it being a trading forum or not. Im sure people are just asking here cus its a trusted source and its out of chance. Sometimes people just dont want to use the keys. Whether its allowed or not I have no idea but still no need to get so edgy

these forums have been used plenty of times to organise 4packs and things for recent games, or trade off a spare free game voucher. this is no different. The MM doesn't allow this, because IMO, they don't want to try and deal with cases where people claim to have received an invalid/already used code.

True, but I would just like to be able to read new and up to date info about starcraft 2 without having people begging for someone to give/sell them a beta key.

Just like WoW, it will start off small, but it wont be long before everyone who cares about SC2 has a beta key. Just give it time.
