**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

after getting back into the swing of things - getting a vast improvement again.

7 out of 8 wins today in 1 v 1 and 2 v 2's.

Scout, Scout and drops is the best formula i've found today

Nice nice

play play play is my formula - but im stuck at not pressing the button atm.

Yea, I havent even loaded up SC2 in about 2 weeks. :( But that's more lack of time than anything else..

(also batman)

Wow. I'm still catching up with Dreamhack and just saw the Sheth Vs ToD games. Fantastic games, all of them!

Re-installing this game today, going to have basically learn to play again. I have forgotten all builds except 15hatch lol. Whats the state of zerg now? Any new decent maps, as much cheese and marine all-ins as usual? Any way (except for quitting games once joined) to start off at the bottom, as i dont want to get my arse handed to me over and over in diamond.

If you skipped a whole season (ie season 3 in this case, which ran for 2 months from Sept-Oct I think) you'll have to do your 5 placement matches again and get placed whereever you should be.

Noice! Yeah, I was pushing for masters in season 1 and stopped playing once season 1 finished.

Still yet to embark on the 1v1 ladder, just been playing with friends and doing 2v2/3v3 ladders.

I have a few things I'd like to improve before jumping into 1v1. Namely my early game scouting and my late game APM. Refining a few builds wouldn't hurt either.

Started playing the campaign again, i had already got about half way through on my old pc but lost the saves.Might even try my hand at mp when i finish even though this game makes me rage like a beast when just playing against friends.I especially hate getting rushed with mass infantry :(

I was diamond in (i think it was) season 2 but i've since given up on starcraft. I realised I hated losing so much that I didn't find the game fun anymore. I had to force myself to ladder, just for the sake of it, and would feel ridiculously frustrated whenever I lost. I just thought what's the point, why don't I go play something which I can actually relax while I play, rather than sitting frantically spamming keys all tensed up.

Not that I've anything against SC2, I really enjoyed aspects of it and the pro scene is awesome. i just don't think it's for me. Too serious/competetive.

Has this happened to anyone else?

EDIT: sorry, just remembered I wasn't diamond. I was platinum. I faced quite a few diamonds but stopped playing before I got promoted.
