What race do you play? I'm zerg and gold but have trouble beating plats, HATE ZvZ it's the most stupid and annoying match-up ever.

I'm zerg, before my 'break' i was high diamond pushing masters. If you want some zvz help add me Sadform 219. i'll; send you some recent reps of my zvz's if you like.

We could play TvZ/ZvZ I guess :p My zvz must be somewhere around bronze league standard these days (build moar roaches trololololol).

Hah yeah i watched that, truly a epic game! Artosis and Tasteless are the best casters in the business!

Was a shame DRG lost in the final game, so amazing that he game back from 3-0 from the first 3 map losses, both amazing players, probably the best finals yet.

It was a great game, but it was a pretty assured Terran victory most of the way through, regardless of the hype from Artosis about DRG attacking late on with the Broodlords, it wasn't going to be a killing blow even if he killed that last group of marines, Terran still had three mining bases.

Shakura's is far too Terran favoured, particularly when it's a Terran playing as well as MMA did.
 
Hi guys merry xmas to you all i finally bought sc2 i know late to the party lol but i cannot even play it. I click the starcraft 2 icon the screen goes blank then i get a box telling me the game needs a patch do i want to download it i click ok and the screen flickers and goes back to that box again. Tried looking on their forums and couldn't see an answer so hoping one of the many on here have an answer as it is killing me not being able to get into it and play :(.

Are you running it as admin?
 
Oh sorry was a bit short on details yeah i am running it as admin have tried using the repair tool as well to no effect. Have just found a download for the latest patch after working my way through their tech support forums it's downloading now will run that and hope it fixes whatever it is :). Ok i have the latest patch and ran it and it is now i think installing all the patches so i think that was the problem despite saying it had patched the game it hadn't link for the latest patch is http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/sc2patch just in case anyone has the same problem :). Will post back if all works after but it is downloading a hell of a lot so i assume this will fix the problem.

havn't got a clue what race i will be playing as i havn't even started the game yet so will play through single player campaign to get an idea about the game first :). OK manually running the patch has solved my problem so all is good now thx for the replys :).

Yeah once you play through the campaign you will most likely choose terran like 90% of people. As you play terran through the entire campaign pretty much.

But in all honesty the campaign doesn't prepare you one bit for multiplayer.
