Actually I wasn't whining I was just joking about the fact that Toss is imba.

I guess the evidence is the abundance of GSLs Protoss has won over the last year

There is also a difference between stutter stepping and kiting. Stutter stepping is so that zealots don't get a surround and it makes it harder for storms to be placed in the best places.

Surely kiting is just stutter stepping with the purpose of staying outside the enemy's range? It's just a specific case. Stutter stepping is more general as it includes repositioning your army to get the units at the back in range etc etc.
I'm new to SC2 and what a freaking huge learning curve it is. I've been watching commentaries and replays galore but I still can't get the hang of it.
I'm playing Terran only.
Any tips/tricks?

Anyone watch GSTL last night? So sick.

Watched some of it today. Gutted for parting. The first game vs MKP which he was winning was an insanely good one. Hopefully Dustin Browder can appreciate (since he was there in person) that LAN is a NECESSITY for tournaments. It's just stupid not to allow it. All they need to do is give the tournament organisers a special key to set up a server.
MKP's computer lost connection to the network so LAN wouldn't have stopped him from dropping out.
Parting was behind most of that game and I think that the rematch was a fair decision even though I know Startale was never going to see it that way.

You've picked the hardest race to master but it's by no means a bad thing.

Personally i think Zerg is the hardest as you have to know the timings of when to build drones and when to build units.
Thanks for the tips guys, I've been playing with two friends who play Protoss and Zerg so they've been trying to teach me too and explaining how I can counter those two races.
I'll post some links to my replays later on. I think the biggest problem I have is with timings and expansion. Not knowing how to counter certain opponent builds is also another.
I think getting used to using the CTRL + 1-9 is also a big learning curve.
It's an extremely hard game to get to grips with that's for sure.

Well they said it was a network problem not a computer problem. In my experience LAN is much less likely to screw up than interwebz. How often did stuff like this happen in BW?
I wouldn't say Parting was behind most of that game, it was very back and forth. Besides, it's only the end situation that matters and he was WAAY ahead. I think MKP could (unlikely) have held but there's no way he would have saved all of his bases so Parting would have the eco lead at least. I think with a warp prism inside his base though it would have been incredibly difficult for him to do that. I agree with the decision to regame though, as I'm 90% sure Parting would have won but you really have to be 100% otherwise it's not fair on MKP. What I meant in my post was that it sucks for Parting that he had pretty much won that game, then had to play it again and lost. Not MKP's fault though, obviously.
