Oscar Pistorius thread

fresco is his friend , whos statements didnt always add up , but she might let him off because he did provide evidence against oscar in one of the gun charges

whole thing seems a farce tbh. as i understand it they are saying he didnt mean to kill the person behind the door ? well why fire a gun more than once at them !!!

The point is, the prosecution were unable to prove intent beyond reasonable doubt, regardless of whether that was actually the case. Law and common sense don't always follow the same path.

So they're saying on Sky, that it's possible he will receive a fine in lieu of prison time (as he's capable of paying it), or a supervised sentence, so it's very possible he won't spend a day in jail.

Yeah, because that would be justice.

so the judge says a normal person would have known that firing a gun 4 times through the door could kill someone but that she believes oscar did not forsee this

and thats the only reason he didnt get murder ? hes played a blinder there !

Wait, he's not guilty of possessing ammunition illegally?

Mr Pistorius told the court the bullets belonged to his father and he had them for safe-keeping. Mr Nel says his father has refused to make a statement confirming this.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahha. This whole thing is a farce.

I honestly thought the old excuse of 'They're not mine guv honest' would never wash, obviously in SA it does.

The simplest way to explain it.

You actually expected sentencing today? Do people actually have zero idea how this works? So many people whining he didn't get done for murder. It's not what you think it's what you can prove. I can't believe the amount of people that don't get that, not just on here.

I can only imagine how fuming Reeva's family must be.

Anyone in their right mind knows his story is utter and complete testicles.

The judge is saving face, pass a verdict that allows her to pass any sentence she likes which will no doubt not include jail time.

I always thought the justice system in this country was bent, but my word, South Africa takes it a whole new level.

Did he ever explain that when he 'heard' this intruder why he did not first make sure that his girlfriend Reeva Steenkam was safe before going to investigate? I think I would want to know that my better half was somewhere out of harms way before I started shooting through bathroom doors.

Or perhaps in South Africa it is shoot first then worry about your wife/girlfriend second.

"I woke up and fired 4 shots into my bathroom door as I thought there was an intruder, but I didn't intend to hurt anyone". "Also your honour, i thought there was no possible way it could have been my girlfriend in there taking a dump".

Whatever.

Well, now I doubt he said" could have" as that doesn't actually mean anything
