Oscar Pistorius thread

The cricket bat rumour may just be that, a rumour.

It was known that he keeps one in his room. However, there were press pictures that showed Police leaving with the murder weapon quite clearly, but there was no bat pictured.

Also there are other reasons for the blood on the bat - I.e. some spilt on it when he moved her, he used the bat as a walking stick etc. As mentioned above it doesn't make sense for him to crush her skull with a cricket bat and then shoot her four times.

The problem is that we are currently hearing all sorts of stuff that may or may not be true and all it serves to do is damage the chances that he will receive a fair trial.

Im going to have a bash at being detective without even reading the thread :D

I think he was a closet drug addict on some kind of performance drugs and he was not quite stable or high out of his mind when she came home.

They could have been planning to breakup as someone said she either had enough of him and his drugs and threaten to tell the story or she cheated on him and he was kicking her out and she sneaked back in for the shoes from the wardrobe.

He probably woke up flipped out and beat her to death and then probably shot her afterwards to make it look like she was an intruder.Hence why he never hid the bat as he was so high.the problem is she was shot in places like the wrist etc and from the little i read it seemed like he was an awful shot with the revolver.4 Bullets and not one center mass wound i believe?

As usual one can jump to tons of crazy conclusions like i did.I just feel terrible for him if it really was an accident which we might never know for sure.

I think Robert Murat or Chris Jefferies did it.

Actually hilarious. But being brually honest, Robert Murat was more than likely in the area... he's omnipresent concerning crime. And it only makes sense given the fact he's also South African! Airtight.

Lock him away, throw away the key! He's a super evil man!

I don't think you can really 'blame' roid rage can you? As in, you wouldn't get a reduced sentence because of it - that would be like getting let off running someone over because you were drunk.

What confused me is why he did not warn the supposed intruder of him, even with a weapon his gf could have said "It's me!" and then he wouldn't have shot her. Or she was having an affair and he wanted to kill her.

The most likely answer being that the 'mistaken for intruder' story is complete BS.

It's South Africa, intruders aren't given the benefit of the doubt. I don't think I know anyone who would actually shout out to an intruder in their home, and that's in this country.

What confuses me about the whole situation is shooting her through the bathroom door. If you were going to kill someone, would you take the chance of shooting them through the bathroom door? Doesn't seem like the best idea to me, and yet he shot her in the head. That seems like incredible luck more than anything. If there was a cricket bat involved why not smash the door and then shoot.

But it's a little different. You can hit someone over the head with a bat to knock them out, and phone the police. In that scenario you wouldn't stop to ask the burglar his specifics.

With a gun, you can't just 'knock them out'. It's either A or B, no inbetween. Should have at least checked who it was before firing.

Sorry if I'm being completely oblivious to your point, but my confusion doesn't come about from thinking she was an intruder. My mention of intruders was purely in reply to Anox and the reaction of many South Africans to intruders in their home.

That's a rather limiting option isn't it? Unless you have personally observed something that you can have no opinion on it?

How can you form any opinion without knowing what exactly has occurred, or as close as possible to this.

Most stories are like that, random nonsense a few words here and there, contradictory, made up facts and total speculation. What does someone take from this?

As for my opinion, i don't really care if he did kill her, or any reason why he may have, accident or intentional, the thing that interest me is why most people are just insane.
