** OSX Yosemite **

Ohhh noooo, I've just found this

Requirements for Continuity features

Obviously the Continuity features require OS X Yosemite for Macs and iOS 8 for iOS devices, but most of them also use Bluetooth LE (Low Energy), so your Mac must also support this. Although this is not 100% clear at the moment, it should support the following devices:

mid-2012 MacBook Air or later
mid-2012 MacBook Pro or later
any MacBook Pro with Retina display
late-2012 iMac or later
mid-2011 Mac mini
late-2013 Mac Pro

Booooooo :(

What a load of ********, I'm not buying a new mac just to use continuity. They may have had a sale if there new retina airs had been released, but I guess I'll just have to wait until Broadwell.

Wait, so does that mean the 2011 Macbook Air won't work with SMS relay? That's what I'm looking forward to the most.

I have this model
http://www.everymac.com/systems/app...acbook-air-core-i5-1.7-13-mid-2011-specs.html

It says Bluetooth 4.0. Does that mean it should work?

I thought it worked over wifi

Should work. Wouldn't have worked on my old 2011 MBP though.

It uses both Bluetooth and Wifi. Bluetooth is mainly to check for presence and for audio I'd guess.

I've updated both my 2013 iMac and Macbook Air, and the only problem has been slow and 'notchy' wifi on my Air. After a bit of troubleshooting I noticed that turning off bluetooth solved the issue immediately. Not a major issue as I don't use bluetooth much (yet), but it would be good to solve it.
Anyone else had this?

Well my work computer barely managed to down a gig today, back at home now and my personal laptop has just hit 2.5 gigs. Guess I just have poor luck, don't get how you guys have got such fast downloads

There's a thread going saying you can get 2011 MBP to work - you need to buy the newer Bluetooth card and install a kernel-extension into the OS.

I completed the download in 25 minutes, once Sky was back after a 17 hour outage!

Just backing up now, then I'll install.

I wonder if the air will have a similar fix. Anyone know if it's possible to get a bluetooth LE usb dongle that may allow continuity to work?

just found out about the handoff feature, gutted can't use it between my macbook pro 2011 and iPhone 6 cuz my macbook doesn't have bluetooth 4.0.

Everything went smooth on my rMBP, downloaded just before midnight and it only took about 25mins. Had a small hiccup with spotlight re-enabling itself but other than that everything is working smoothly. Not 100% sure about the new appearance, guess it'll grow on me.

I cannot get 1Password to sync on iCloud for the life of me!

I've tried every step and whilst my iOS device (iPhone 6) syncs, the rMBP is saying that there is currently no iCloud data available.

Re-installed 1Password for both.
Turned off iCloud sync.
Synced to Dropbox on both devices.
Removed iCloud data on iOS and OS X
Disabled Dropbox sync and re-enabled iCloud sync.

Every time the rMBP complains that there is no iCloud data. I refuse to use Dropbox solely for 1Password keychain when iCloud is available and integrated.

EDIT: You need the Mac App Store version of 1Password to use iCloud sync :o
