Reading between the lines I'd say they need 19k and 6 of them put in £850 each towards the total required. That takes you down to around £14k.
Correct, thank you.

The aim is to assess the value for conservation of regenerating compared to primary tropical rainforest by carrying out all the research that is planned. I hope this answers the question.![]()
Can you break it down a bit, how much on each and specifically what/why?we need to raise an awful lot to pay for equipment, food, permits and wages for the guides/scientists.
this part of your satement has me puzzeld can you elaborate on it

It isn't generally used as an excuse to blag literally 5 figure sums off the general public so you can go on what is basically a 6 week jolly on the other side of the world.

This isn't the sort of thing that should be funded by charitable donations, there are far far better places for your money if you wish to give to a good cause. No matter how people try and dress it up this isn't anything other than a bunch of students going to a fantastic place for a virtually free field trip.
Oh dear.Do you think most charities don't pay or provide the people that work for them with accomodation and food?
Ta, makes things a lot clearer, should have linked that in the OPThis is our prospectus, full breakdown is in there and information in a lot more depth. Thanks for the interest![]()

so you want people to pay your wages out of the donation? you and your friends are the "scientists" on this expedition ?we need to raise an awful lot to pay for equipment, food, permits and wages for the guides/scientists.

I'd be amazed if there is anything not known about the Amazon in Peru that a bunch of students on a bargain holiday will be able to tell the established science community.
