I wouldn't be surprised if the forums as they are, changed significantly over the coming months. It could result in a breakaway forum. Who knows?

If it resulted in a migration, I feel that it would be short lived, and in the long term the community would dissipate. Still, 12-13 years is damn good going. having been here from the early days, it's has been awesome. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

That must be rubbish surely? Hell, I'm sure the Gareth thread alone brought in enough extra income alone to pay for the forums for a few years of the backs of members.

The forums are not THAT busy, and could be sorted with a managed dedicated server.


Anyway, I'm surprised by the news, though I don't blame Spie in the slightest. It's an economically very tough time, and a payout now after having had the pleasure of running it so long, must have been just to tempting!
 
What is wrong with you lot seriously?

The company that was founded in ENGLAND by an ENGLISH person is now being owned by GERMANS. Nearly everything in this country has gone somewhere else or being owned by another country, yet it's perfectly ok because we keep the forums. There is seriously no pride anymore, call me a Drama queen? atleast I care what is english and stays english. Spie you might be the owner, but I cannot believe you sold yourself out to a german.
