If I'm honest, be very surprised if CTF was introduced, it doesn't really exist in TF2 these days (apart from Turbine).

The game itself has already created a sort of "must have classes" to win aka. meta, if you go against those you will quickly lose.

Hopefully they can make some changes and make it a little bit more varied (as they originally planned).

I'm hoping they make it so you can only have 1 character per team (as in you can't all be the same one).

hero lock might have a toxic effect on community like League of Legends.

Much of the games strategy is about switching to counter certain things during the game though, locking heroes will ruin that

Yeah, hero lock hopefully won't be implemented, the only annoying hero with more than 1 is Bastion.

As above, they wouldn't do this and Blizzard don't allow plugins etc, so I doubt this will happen via a third party mod.

Though that said, a team may chose to only run 1 of a certain character.

Really dislike these exclusive betas Blizzard does. Makes me not want to buy into the game when people have been playing for months already, especially being a competitive player

Unfortunately, this may already be the case.

Some are already talking about the players who are in now, being unreachable on a skill level gap quite soon.

Well colour me amazed, found the installer on my launcher last night so downloaded and had a quick game vs AI to get a feel for it. Looks interesting, roll on the weekend when I have more time, assuming the beta is still up.

Probably. I am still waiting to get in properly, I only got access during one weekend but I loved what I did play and am itching to get back in.

I would pre-order now if it meant instant beta access.

Seems to be very limited, this thread will probably become popular once the game comes out. It's really fun, and minus the similarities of TF2 it's on it's own for a game type.
