Overwatch

My rank has dropped a lot end of last season and beginning of this one, Im at 2700 so it's a good time for me to team up with any of you guys around this rank.

I'm planning on putting in the hours next few weeks so should hopefully be climbing back towards diamond/masters.

This normally happens to me when Im only playing a few mathes a week I find it hard to get consistent wins and end up ranking down.

I might be able to help any of you that are stuck get up to the next rank.

I be on today from about 2.30. I have someone coming for dinner. I should be on most days all day for next couple of weeks.

Thanks for link on new character I hadn't seen it. Im glad they added another dps and she looks pretty good.

Hopefully another healer next time.

Any one still playing comp?

Been getting back into this again recently.

Let me know if any one wants to play comp. Gold rank here.
 
Placed at 2200 on my main, so much lower than in the past, don't think I can even bring myself to try and climb it to plat at this point...

My wife placed lower, about 1950 and then dropped to 1800... since she mostly plays support and was finding the quality of the games dropping very hard she asked if I could have a go at climbing her account back to gold. I hate to admit it but I've been trying, and I can't... An example game from last night - I was Zarya on Rialto; borderline untouchable, ended up 61 elims, 5 deaths, 7:30 of objective time, 40 objective kills... keeping people alive through all sorts, setting up combos for people... we still lost... I've managed to get her account back to 1900 but my god its painful...

My other Alt account from Humble Monthly just hit r25 though so can do another set of placements... will be curious to see if the rumours about ELO intertia etc. have any truth to them (though frankly I would rather stick with my main account)
 
I'm just doing my placements. 6 games, I think 5 wins (maybe 4?) with the last two being overtime, one loss (sooooooo close as well, great game) and one win. As I said before, I seem to have a very different experience to some. Not been one of those games that have been lopsided. Tell a lie, we did hump one team. I was having a good game and barely got any medals, so I know my team was good. Mind you, I was owning their Phara and she didn't switch...

Still playing Soldier?

I've been playing Sombra too... Lots of fun, but I'm definitely better with Soldier... However, Sombra seems very useful in the current meta, especially against Doomfist and Hammond.

I'm not sure that I'll get far out of gold with Soldier now though (I wonder if my coordination and reflexes may have already peaked now I'm 43!), and using Rein and Dva more. Still liking Moira too, and might actually be my best choice for leveling up.

Which heroes tend to get more xp? I've noticed as Mercy the XP for a win is always relatively low, whereas Rein is relatively high, with Soldier in the middle. Anyone else see the same trend?
 
Yeah, Soldier, with some Junkrat too. I will switch if the team asks. I even had a good round as Phara the other day. 9 placements played, 6 wins 1 loss and 2 ties... that's how close all my games are being, I've tied two of them!!!

Every other week they nerf her :(

I think they gone bit too far this time, every other character seems to be getting buffs as well.
 
A Brigitte nerf was needed before every Rein main was put on suicide watch imho.

I think it is a massive nerf, but something had to change. I don't know if the can't stun through shields is what was needed or if it will be reverted. But I'm guessing there are some much happier main tanks out there now.
 
Her stun through shield was far to OP anyway, I'm surprised they took so long to nurf it.

Ashe is my new favourite character.

Playing at lot of quick play at the moment as i need to be able to leave if my daughter wakes up. normally around at the weekend for comp if any one wants a game.
 
I think the bashing through shield nerf to brig is fair enough but not on top on the other 10 nerfs she already got.

She is getting nerfed to the point people will stop using her.

I have already switched over to lucio as my main because he seems much more reliable healer now and he is a lot of fun.

I have always found the game pretty generous with loot boxes, I can't really understand why people buy them when you can get everything for free just by playing the game.

For example right now I have 9000 gold I could go buy every single item for ashe and still have like 2000 left over.
