Loving role queue in comp but I do wish they implemented it the same way in normal currently you don't select pre queue and instead are forced to play whatever role is left earlier I wanted to go DMG/ healer as I had been doing ranked as tank and wanted a few games in normal for a break but was forced into tank as everyone else had already selected which was a **** ache

I was miffed by that too! They had Role lock for QP on the PTR but it won't be released to Live until the 1st of Sept.
 
So is every one ranking a lot lower than expected? Admittedly I tanked 300sr at the end of last season but should still be around mid gold? Maybe I'm not as average as I think I am :)
 
The sr rating seems fairly broken right now.

Played games with scott earlier who is always quite consistent at getting 3000+ sr. He done his placements as zen and had gold damage most the time and it placed him 2300.

I think we only lost one game as well.
 
Yeah, it's odd. I got 2200 as Brig, we lost two (teams were shocking, and I never say stuff like that!) and won three, but I smashed every game.

It's only a beta season though isn't it? It resets after two weeks?
 
Quick (probably stupid) question on role queue

Recently got lvl 25 and played a few games back of last season. Didn’t place high at all. Just gone to play some competitive games now in the beta season with two friends, and it’s saying we can’t as the difference in sr is too much. Neither of my friends played any last season, and none of us have played placements so far in the beta season.

Best thing to do is play your 5 placement matches to get it to show your sr rating.

You have to be with 1000sr of each other in diamond and below. If your friends are rated in diamond then it's within 500 sr.

You might find once you have done your placement you can play together.
 
Me and my friend played last night, I ran as tank playing mostly Orisa and got up to 2700SR while my friend got to 2997. Being able to play a main tank and knowing what to do really lets you stand out from all the guys picking tank for a quick queue and then choosing Hamster, Roadhog or Sigma and playing it essentially as DPS.

I had an awful night last night tried to get my DMG placement we had rein and roadhog as tank and rein thought it would be smart to charge in and attack one guy leaving 3+ to attack us healers and kill the entire team but " I'm top DMG luls" :rolleyes: didnt win a single match last night either due to poor tanks

It has been nice playing tank matches, at least now you are guaranteed 2 healers 2 dps. It's nice you get propper team with you.

I haven't enjoyed playing tank this much since before the armour nerfs.

I have been mainly sigma,rein with a bit of monkey.

Yeah there's loads of really poor people picking tanks, if you want to climb SR then queue as tank and pick Orisa or Rein, your team having a competent main tank is massive because the opposite team in a lot of cases won't.
 
It's a great time to be a tank main that's for sure :p

I've not done my main account placements yet but was playing a few games on an alt last night and having fun, mostly playing Rein Orisa and Winston... don't know Sigma well enough for comp yet. I'm happy though that Winston seems to wreck Sigma as the monkey is my favourite to play :)

Its nice having a competent tank to heal behind too! Enjoyed last nights games wityh @booyaka - Ill be on Friday evening/Night and some of the weekend if anyone wants to play anymore.
