i reworked my hero from ground up, due to the following feedback
Seem over Confusing for players
Too gory

I don't like the idea of a heal or buff that doesn't do max amount if the target isn't hit, as if I'm trying to shoot friendly players. It's too counter productive to ask them to stand still, and the better a player is the harder it is going to be to hit them with your abilities. Faster characters like Tracer will also suffer and be harder to heal and buff compared to slower characters like Reinhardt. Primary fire, alt fire and ability 1 are also a bit samey. You could merge two of them into a "hold" ability. Like merge ability 1 into a "on hold" ability for the primary fire, as if you're cooking a grenade and it'd free up 1 slot to think of something new.

How do you refill canisters? Over time?

You don't NEED to hit an ally though, just close. Hitting an ally creates some skill with the hero. hitting close still heals them & if you have 12 beakers you could spam little at them. but remember things can be tweaked. we could have hitting them does 1.5 heal.

The abilities samey, i agree however i did have a hold. However If you start adding holds the character becomes very hard to learn & play with & confuse many players. im open to feedback on the idea for abilities. could have 3rd canister opening up More ideas. ill have a think :)


the canisters fill themselves,canister can hold 48 beakers worth of liquid after this a small refill time is required (automatic)

how about this? His now a CC Support

ability 1: SlipHazard
You pour checimals on the floor whilst you run for 3 seconds
any enemy that touches this sliphazard slips falls to the ground, this slip hazard is removed once it is reused OR at least 1 enemies are affected by the hazard.


Ability 2: Zachary Sticky Substance
You create a Sticky invention from mixture of checimals in your backpack, if thrown at a enemy near a wall/object they stuck for 1.5 seconds

this can be reflected due to it being a projectile

played loads of TFC and TF2 and this is nothing like it.. dunno even know how people can compare it.. it has payload and classes sooooooooooo what!

there is no FPS game out there that has 21 individual characters and that's why i love it so much..
Feels exactly the same in some respects, absolutely different in others. That's why I said "fun game" rather than "total rip off of TF2". It's great you found a game you can appreciate

I find posts like these completely bizarre.

This is practically the only game out at the moment that isn't a sequel.

You turn your nose up at it because it's loosely from the same genre as another game from 10 years ago? It's like saying you don't wanna play battlefield because you don't wanna relive your call of duty days.
So you suggest we throw money at new IPs just because they're new? There's nothing "loose" about this game's relationship to TF2, it's TF2 for 2016. That's not a bad thing, but it's not what I'm looking for.

Sorry if you feel that I'm 'turning my nose up' at a game you want to play but I don't. I waded through this forum and other reviews and found nothing but people gushing for the game. I took the plunge and quickly realised it was a mistake. I'd pay a tenner for this, not £30.

There's plenty gleaming reviews for this elsewhere (everywhere) so don't be butthurt one guy isn't spewing rainbows from his backside over it.

For others who are thinking of trying this: Blizzard do give refunds, I applied for one yesterday and received it an hour later. Hopefully that helps if you just wanna test the water.

Like the idea, but 3% plus & minus either way wouldn't be enough to make an impact for an ultimate. Something like that would need to be 10% minimum?

Rofl, who's butthurt? If you don't want to play the game then that's your prerogative and I couldn't care less. I only posted because I'd seen a couple posts on here by unimaginative people saying that "it's basically just TF" as justification for not liking the game rather than "it costs £30 quid and I don't like it that much."

The latter view is obviously fine, the former view is frankly hilarious in the current games market of annual sequels and actual clones.

It's a completely new IP produced by a company that has never made an FPS game before. It's progress.

Completely irrelevant. It may be progress for Blizzard, but they've just taken an existing model and made it their own (in a good way) so it's not really progress for the games world.

Creating his own Neuro controlled hover board.prior to the omnic crises JIAHAO was a mommy boy & used this hover board to deliver pizza he never had a good break to show of this work. unfortunately during the omic crises this parents were murdered & JIAHAO took it upon him self to use invention to put a stop to criminals of the world. After the ominc crises their was a Science Show which allowed young inventors to show off their work. This were Winston took a shine to the young JiAHAO & took him under this wing helping him hone this skills.

He Fires very small metal boomrang which can boubnce between 2 enemies twice each Damage: 15dmg per bounce enemies can destory this boomrang after the first bounce.

motion detector (x2) you place a motion detector which reveals the enemy that broke it to your entire team for 20 seconds. these stay in place until the detector is destroyed OR reused.



# Ability 2

Robotic Flying Smoke bomb, you fire a Flying robot that releases a smoke in a straight line allowing your team to push the payload. Turrets auto aim is disabled until the smoke is cleared (6 seconds)


# Ultimate
You jump off your hover board use your neurotransmitter to control your hover board which is at super-speed any enemy you hit with your hover board is tripped up however the more you trip up the shorter the trip. this can shot same as junk-rat tire

For the purposes of a discussion about how games are clones and sequels, for one of the biggest PC developers on the market, who have spent 25 years producing solely RTS and RPG to now branch into the FPS market I'd say is pretty relevant.
 
Wow wow wow.

Finally picked up the basic pack of this for £30 after hearing so many good things about it. It just a lot of fun, plain and simple.

I have just stuck to one character for the first few hours of playing it (D.Va), and not sure if its just because I am decent at video games anyway or she is really good, but I feel like I am really making a difference in matches. Its great boosting around to mess with defensive lines, as well as getting the Ultimate just when you need it the most and clearing out and area before jumping straight back into another mech... FUN.

Coming from a fighting game background.... jeez I can see how crazy it must be to get a decent idea of how every character counters ever other one. But I look forward to it :)

I like this one a lot better. Some cracking ideas, motion detector to dissuade lurkers. Smoke. Funnily I awoke this morning trying to think which character had smoke; there's none at the moment is there?

Wouldn't the boomerang point to Australasian back ground. Also fashionable kid with spiky hair seems a bit too close to Tracer?

Got a feeling something from here we will see in the future.

"Meh :S you could at least make it a revenge tale. Maybe one of the current heroes from the overwatch world was sent to kill his parents because of their inventions. Maybe Reaper tried to steal one of the inventions or something"

"There is already two heroes that do this. Hanzo and Widomaker" Find something more original that ties in with the theme of the hoverboard.

Is there some sort of competition that Blizzard are running for new hero designs? Anyway i've left feedback and really not keen on the backstory. It's too basic, badly written and clichéd. Not sure how young you are, so don't want to crush further attempts at creating new hero designs, if you are just doing it for a bit of fun.

Rendering decent looking smoke is expensive, given the focus on keeping performance snappy and the visuals clean I think this is something to avoid.
