Overwatch

Overwatch does have players you can 'get away' with using a pad, but you're unlikely to be as good as if you got used to a mouse.

Worthy, do you remember playing with my mate Ben? I met with him yesterday and he said to me 'yeah, I've now got a mouse'. 'What?!' He was playing on a pad, which explains a little....
 
Mine seems to be running well now after that reg tweak, it's a really addictive game I've found in the few days I have been playing it. However, I still have no clue what I am doing in the game other than shooting.
 
I convinced one of my work colleagues to try Overwatch and played a few games with him. Two problems, the first being because I'm in Masters, when I did QP with him we were getting put into games with Diamond-GM players so he was getting wrecked badly, not fun at all, especially when he doesn't know what 75% of the characters even do! Second problem was, I found out he was playing with a trackball!! He has now purchased a traditional mouse and is having much more success. Sadly we still can't QP together because of the messed up matchmaking. I find it bad enough when I QP into a high SR 2-3 but as a new player I would probably just quit the game. Only yesterday I had a QP game with a 3 stack of 4200+ players on the other side, and my team had a diamond/gold duo. Now if the 4200s were playing off characters of lolling about ok, but they were playing their DPS mains, not in any way fun.

I had the same problem when i started all the guys that play with have lvl 300-400 and it was hard to get rekt.
 
Okay, so I'm a Silver scrub, I'd like to think my D.Va play is half decent (according to Oversumo/MasterOverwatch it is) but like many people in Bronze/Silver/Gold it's hard to find a team that plays together well. However, last night I hit jackpot on my team over on the US servers (I highly recommend US over EU servers), great communication, a desire to win. A Sombra/Rein/D.Va ult combo pulled off my first ever hexakill.

Happy does not describe it! Voice chat went mad!

Looks like I'm finishing this season in plat. I did drop all the way down to 1900 this season when doom came out but then played a few days in a row and got it back to 2500. I was going to put a few more hours in this season but just noticed it almost over so will wait until next season before trying to climb again.

yeah very interested in the Dva changes - she's always pretty much been my main.

Played a fair bit of Zen this season - good fun, good healing but insane damage output at times as well.

Will give the US servers a go as EU is toxic wasteland at the moment.

US is so much better!! I've given up doing comp on EU, though do still play QP and arcade on EU.

As another D.Va main, I'm not sure what to think about the changes. She's a tank, and they've halved the ability for her to do the job of a tank. It feels like a heavy hitting DPS, like old roadhog, rather than damage relief.

We shall see!

D.Va is one of my more frequent characters - what they made her less tankier and added some rockets??

I had sym for defence and mercy for healing and rein/monkey for tank but something was missing and doom fixed it.

Got 29 comp hours with him now.

You have confirmed my fears about Doomfist and why the hitbox is so large - they have done this for consoles,where you have less precision than a keyboard and mouse.

yea dva matrix is being reduced.. but she can now fire and fly around and she will have added rockets that do aoe!

widow and junkrat buffs seem nice aswell and roadhog will be back next patch too!
