Parcel at a neighbour not answering door

On Friday I had a parcel delivered to a neighbour a couple of doors away by Royal Mail. It’s a different parcel to one I mentioned.

Friday, Saturday and today I have rang their doorbell and no answer despite I can hear noises from the property. Saturday morning I hand posted a note with the times I will be in.

How long do I have to wait to I contact the company to resend my order?

A few years ago I did request RM not to leave my parcels at neighbours due to things like this. Has this service stopped?

The noises, does it sound like someone has had a fall and are trying to get your attention as they cant speak? You need to kick their door in or call the police and explain you can hear someone calling for help and while they are in there quickly grab your parcel.

Through the closed door you can hear a buzzing/vibrating sound accompanied by loud moans and occasional bursts of giggling. What did the OP order again?

Honestly if it were me and I could hear noises inside, by this point I would bang on their door and/or shout through their letterbox till they answered. If that didn't work, I'd do it again an hour later.

Problem is most of the people down my road don’t even say hello when I say it. They don’t seem to care about the community

my place has a doorbell from the previous tenant but it's connected to nothing.
