Parcel at a neighbour not answering door

Tradition, it's when everybody went big shopping in the old days and it's all ages.
We can now all go at any time we want, even during the night, but some people are stuck in their ways.
Saturday morning about 10am is when you'll see a great big queue leading from the A50, up a slip road on to a Tesco near me, it's rammed and even a massive car park can be full and hard to get a place, if they went at 3pm there would be nobody there.
They could go Sunday morning at 10am and it would be empty and so on.
Me and my wife go at around 11am on a Friday to ALDI, we're virtually on our own.
Just don’t understand why people all have to go to the same shops at the same time.

My parents are retired and only have shopped Saturdays when return from holiday the day before. That’s twice in ten years

I've got this scenario too, with the house opposite ours. I've been over 3 times when their car is there and they just don't answer.

I don't see many TV adverts because I record everything but every now and then I catch one and I've seen this particular advert several times for some reason.
A young man goes to his elderly neighbours asking if they've taken a delivery because they keep going missing and when he looks through the door her husband is wearing and trying some of his stuff.
No idea what the adverts for.

I don't leave parcels with neighbours for this reason nor accept them on their behalf.
Honestly unless you live in the middle of nowhere most small shops are drop off points, failing that theres the post office
Not like I don't want to help people out but its the odd one that spoils it
