Paris attacks.

Fair enough. The current sample size from muslims I know (approximately 20) shows a 100% rating for being utterly horrified. Good enough?

Sorry no. Anecdotal isn't evidence.

I'm not saying I disagree with you I just found it amusing you derided someone for not having evidence then post exactly the same but opposing view.

The ones I know are truely saddened by the attack and are worried about reprisals from the plebs across the road from us :(.

Edit: not sure of the word for a wrong reprisal. It's not like my neighbours had anything to do with it.

Something really wrong going on here.

Hence my comments in the migration thread - Its actually kind of stunning that David Cameron seems to be the only leader in Europe with any comprehension of the scale of the coming problem and the right way to go about dealing with it but has very little support for implementing it.

I feel so sorry for the people trapped inside for that amount of time with no help and totally defenceless.

I can't believe so many lives were lost though, truly shocking.

Why did they take so long securing a perimeter around Bataclan when they must have been monitoring social networking sites knowing people were being executed for ages and pleading for help, I mean you know they are there to not negotiate, just cause as much casualties as possible then kill themselves so surely the GIGN should have stormed the building sooner?

So it's their fault you're misinformed?

well... yes, they are the "informers" are they not?

like i said after the Hebdo attack i doen maybe 30mins of research and only found one statement from a semi prominent figure in a muslim society condemning the act. all the other things i read said "yes it is disgusting but he deserved it (not in such few words minds) because he drew a picture we didnt like".

its upto the people that are being victimised to come out and inform us aswell, if they think they are being hard done by they should do something to ease our minds and actually condemn the atrocities without giving excuses for them.

I thought they went in quickly, some so called expert was on the news saying it was certain to run for days....then about 20mins later it was all over. Just goes to show what these experts know!

It felt like no time and cannot have been much more than an hour, if any time at all. That's a remarkable turnaround.

Even then, and hopefully having been able to take some time, some of the police that stormed the theatre gave their life for their fellow man. As bad as it is today, it could have been worse.

When chelsea fans were done for racism, the club, the manager, the fans spoke out and acted. Words such as ashamed etc were bandied about.

Why does the Muslim community not feel.inclined to react in this way?

ISIS were considered too extreme by the extremists in Iraq.. they're point of view is that all muslims should pledge allegiance to their self-appointed nutcase leader. So in the end - he's trying to replace all islamic relationships to him as the spokes person of Allah. So although there may be some shared mileage in spreading Islam, the reality is it's far from what normal muslims would actually see as Islam.
For Muslims, at a personal level, it's considered unbrotherly/improper to question others belief publicly and religious leaders need to state this. This is from discussions with a work colleague at the time whose dad was in the Pakistan airforce.

Not being able to hold and air a different opinion, to me personally, is nuts. It's control pure and simple.

Does anyone actually think that the events of last night will change anything?

Personally, I think that the world leaders will go on television and say things like "im shocked", "terrorists wont win", "freedom will not be diminished" and then everyone will carry on as normal

No I don't. It will be the standard lines after such an event yet nothing will change for the better. However I'm not sure what could be done to change things for the better now.

The damage is long since done and I don't imagine Isis will respond to any form of peace talks.

She talks so much **** a blowjob from her could easily be classed as anal sex.

Quoted for the truth.

Where does he say, 'let's side with our homelands. The uk, France, Europe. Lets not allow them to associate us with these acts as we vocally disavow ourselves ftom them by flying the English and french flags from our mosques.

Just the Tricolor would do. What a sign of solidarity that would be.
