Paris Olympics 2024

I know absolutely nothing about skateboarding but have just watched this. Noob question, In his prime, how good was Tony Hawk compared to these Olympians?
He invented a lot of tricks, one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. Female skateboarding is still relatively young, but you can already see the improvement over Tokyo 3 years ago. To put it into perspective Hawk was the first skateboarder to land the 900, today's gold medallist was the first female skateboarder to do it. The men are still ahead though and are ahead of what Hawk was doing.

I do think there should be a minimum age, don't think an 11 year old should be competing in the olympics. She did really well but it's unfair to put that pressure on them.
I think the British man is 51.

Andy Macdonald.

Was American until this year.

I remember posting in the Tokyo thread about how bad the women's skateboarding was. That was surprisingly decent. :)
Yeah I thought Sky's runs were better than her ones last time.

How was the women's bmx overall? I thought there was a gulf in technical ability between the british girl and the guy.
