I've just thought. Do you know anybody skilled enough with a permanent marker? If so, then perhaps convert that large warning sign into a goatse. Something like this:

Print up a flyer and a load of posters announcing that a kebab van will be opening up outside his house. Distribute them liberally throughout the neighbourhood.

EDIT: For bonus points actually open a kebab van outside his house.

Well if the papers say he owns the road then I guess he does...

Send him a letter saying you are some XYZ law firm representing a client who's $2 million Lamborghini was damaged due to him not maintaining his section of the road and he needs to attend court to face $500k in damages

Stick additional signs on his fence, there are "Warning - Angry man lives here" and "Warning - ####heads operating in the area" signs on ebay etc for £5-£10
 
Or on the last day just tell him he's a **** and if he ever threatens you or your wife you'll break his legs?

I guess you're not legally allowed to threaten people anymore though!

You could hire a PI and dig some dirt up on him. That's perfectly legal I think?

Stick letter in mailbox claiming to be the person he's cheating with, declaring your love and then that you are happy with his plan to get married and get rid of the current wife out of the picture, maybe attach a sex toy to the mail, like a ***** and mention how you can't wait to do some pegging.

I'm ok with revenge stuff as long as it doesn't involve damaging a person's car/home/livelihood.

If you're going to do something like that (keying a car, smashing a house window, getting them fired etc) but don't have the balls to say/do something to them face to face, then you're a coward.
