Pascal Titan-X Launch

The AMD fanboys are out in droves I see.

Too bad AMD won't provide this level of performance for years.

AMD Fanboy recommending to buy a Nvidia GPU? Well that makes perfect sense

Tip: Am not a FanBoy! never have and never will. I have recommended Nvidia GPUs to a lot of people. A true Story a friend mine called Chaboy quite big on Youtube his first PC recommended by me was a Nvidia 670 I could easy told him to buy AMD but I didn't because at the time that was his best choice.
Now my choice would have been AMD because I dislike how Nvidia do things doesn't make me a Fanboy!

Instead of saying: 'hey, you should buy this AMD alternative', all you can do is blame Nvidia and consumers for buying these cards.

Pathetic.

Dude AMD Dont have alternatives to these Nvidia cards right now... the only AMD alternative is a 480 vs 1060... wtf are you on????

you think im going to recommend a Fiji card? LOL... mental.. AMD have been behind Nvidia for ages, your point is not even valid this round of cards and you damn well know it.

Im not blaming people for buying these cards either, if you want to waste your money on them go for it, more power to you, i wouldnt buy one because i dont buy Nvidia products, not to say they are bad, they are not, they are infact really decently made for the most part, i just personally find them horrendously overpriced and i feel Nvidia lie a lot to their customers, and have no quibbles hiking prices, and also pulling off stunts like the previous TitanX / 980ti shafting.

if your happy to swallow that kinda behaviour, well your a better man than me, because personally that type of unlubed love, i find particular difficult to sit down with ;)

Agreed!

That's my point. AMD don't have any alternatives. So OF COURSE Nvidia can price their GPUs higher. AMD failed to compete. People like you love to whine about an Nvidia monopoly but fail to hold AMD to account for the current state of affairs. I blame the loser, not the winner.

So you firmly believe if people did not buy Nvidia cards, they would still release them at such high premiums year after year?

I firmly believe that if AMD were competent, Nvidia would not price their cards as high as they do. Blaming consumers is a waste of time. The market decides the value of goods.

Hold on then what about past GPU line ups?? Titan, Ti even before Fury AMD was known for its lower priced GPUs while Nvidia continued to release GPUs at higher price! This isnt something that only just started this been ongoing for years.

AMD said they are 2 years behind Nvidia? lol way to stab youself in the back, would love to see that, where is the link?

I don't have a link, and I take back the certainty with which I said it. But it's been said numerous times on these forums that Koduri has openly said in an interview that AMD are around two years behind Nvidia. I think he was referring to performance per watt.

Edit:
PCPer special with Raja Koduri, I'll give you a timestamp in PM when I get home tonight (after 6pm)

The level of competition over time has fallen because AMD have failed to keep up.

AMD can't compete with Nvidia at the high end anymore. They're way behind Nvidia, to the detriment of all consumers.

Edit:
Yes i remember that, it wasn't quite like that, he was referring to AMD's old cards, it was in reference to efficiency improvements coming down the line.
