Good luck with the FOMOI've been trying to stay in a media blackout, but I caved last night and watched the interview with Jonathan by Talkative Tri, who is someone I can't stand. Going back on radio silence til the 6th, with the exception of teasers they release. Not that there's a lot to avoid, the majority of it seems to be streamers posting tier lists, which is a complete joke given the lack of info we have. It's not the core PoE streamers, they have their heads screwed on. It's all the other gaming streamers that are desperate to cash in on viewer counts.
Got my key this morning ready for preload
I'll be fine, this was my plan even going back to last year. I think snippets are fine, get the most pertinent info etc I donlt think you can ruin an experience unless you drown yourself in media before release. Oh god TT - he does my head in, knows nothing about the game but has hopped on the bandwagon, he's so desperate to please GGG it's total cringe to watch.
I hope you can enjoy the EA, but I can wait tbh.

I paid for the early access only to get an email today telling me I got it free as I've been playing for the whole poe journey (been playing since beta) lol. My bro in law got my key.

Thats interesting ! Wonder if I will get one too (already bought early access anyway) wonder what the criteria is.
Edit : ahh, reading online that its likely tied to how much you have spent on path of exile over the years, I havent spent anything on it so probably wont get a free key anyway

Just seen your edit: I haven't spent much compared I don't think? Usually buy 2 or 3 surprise boxes each league to support them which is 15-20£ at most. I guess that adds up over 12 years but still I'll wager it's nothing compared to some.

Makes sense, since you're spending what a key costs every 4 months or so. Fag packet maths on the low end suggests you've spent around £500 over the life of the first game.

Didn't play much of the first but am looking forward to this. Is there an ocuk guild or anything?
You better check and confirm whichever key you gave him is transferrable. The free one they gave everyone today is bound to your account. Yes you get a code for Steam but that just unlocks it in your library. When you get to log in it checks against your PoE registered account to see if you are eligible for EA.

Got the key through earlier so I'm all set it would seem, I think I'll go on as much of a blackout as possible now until launch, it's going to be nice to just jump in and start playing around with something new.

Seems there's a variety of messages depending on whether you've bought or not.
edit: just checked my mail and I got the same message. Reads to me that you should share the key you got from the supporters pack, and not the one you got this morning.

Ah im confused now. It does say at the top of my early access page the following:
Your account is eligible for Path of Exile 2 Early Access! Thank you for your (or your benevolent friend's) support!
My bro in law can still have it, but I'm waiting to give it to him now lol
This one on your EA page is yours and cant be shared. The one in your previous post looks like it's from the supporters pack and can be shared. If your friend cashes that in, he'll end up with the same message as you on his EA page.

they were both from the same page. In either case, as I mentioned, I am going to wait and get in, then he can have it
