I want to buy a supporter pack, thinking about the 2nd tier so I can have 600 points to work with, are they enough for the essential stash tabs + whatever else is needed? I think I already have 4 premium stash tabs, but nothing else.

For all tabs that have a function (currency, maps, etc) then you're looking at 695 points. You'll get that cheaper when they put the tabs up on special, so you should be covered. You'll want to have some premiums for selling on the trade site, and a quad or 2 can be handy.

As a huge D4 fan, I am sick of it now, especially this season and POE 2 can't come soon enough. Looks like it will be better than POE 1, as I couldn't get on with that.

I say that because this D4 season which is 3 months long, I got to the level cap in 4 days, got all the gear I need after 7 days, and the only thing to do thereafter was to get the same gear with more greater affixes and level paragon. This season became stale very fast due to bad loot design

Hmm, that's a lot of points then lol.

Is every league mechanic stash tab included? Or perhaps they are not needed since they might not be in POE2?

If it's just for PoE 2 then I would wait til it's out. There are some obvious ones that will come over from what we've seen like Fragments Currency Deli and Uniques. Then some question marks like Map tab, since thats changing to Waystones. I imagine that will be converted like for like, but not guaranteed. Blight enjoyers are dooming that it's not gonna make it into 2.

There's a stash tab sale every 3 weeks so pick up what you need at the time, and the rest later. Next sale is in 12 days. https://poedb.tw/us/

Sweet, thanks!

The game looks good, not sure if I'm really sold on it over PoE 1 but as the saying goes the truth is in the eating. Now if only I could decide on what to play as...

It's looked better and better each time they've showed it off, the content available for early access looks quite substantial and different enough from POE 1 to hold interested for a good while I'd say.

I'm expecting it to feel very different though, I'm kind of tempering expectations first in preparation for getting used to the new mechanics, even WASD control will make if feel totally different. I wouldn't be surprised of there is a decent % of the player base that doesn't get on with the controls and the differing systems and sticks with POE 1, but if GGG has proven anything it's that they know how to expand the game in the long run with new interesting content.

Very much looking forward to it.

really hoping they nail controller support for the game. The way they have upgarded the movement systems it's like a blend of a twin stick shooter with an ARPG system tacked on.

the changes to mapping as well looks really interesting, tbh I don't like late game POE 1. The process of managing and rolling maps to then run them in 90s and then repeat honestly kinda sucks and pulls it away from being an action game and turns it in to a bit of a mindless grinding/loot farmer. Hopefully the progress system feels more natural from a gameplay perspective

It's sad, really. I have been the biggest Blizzard fanboy ever since The Lost Vikings. Loved all of their games up to the launch of D3. I was so hyped. And whilst it never lived up to the hype, it was still a playable game, different but enjoyable in it's own right.

Then the "You guys have phones, right?" thing happened and it was clear to me that people at Blizzard are now fully disconnected from their fanbase. D4 launched and I thought it was a good base for things to come but nah. The game has now had multiple seasons, big patches and an expansion yet is still marred with some ridiculous bugs and horrible design flaws because the devs do NOT play their game. How else do you explain one of the big systems of the flashy new expansion, the Realmwalker, where you walk around for 10 minutes and nothing happens? They didn't even bother game testing that, otherwise there is NO way it goes live in a state it did. The fact that an early access release of PoE2 has more depth and content than D4 after almost a year of existence is just sad.

The fact that Rod tweeted that... Read the room dude, your game ******* sucks!

You don't really have to buy all of the league tabs. Honestly, to start with you could just buy the currency tab and a few currency tabs. Currency tab is a MASSIVE QoL improvement. After that, just buy whatever tabs are relevant to the content you enjoy playing. 600 points will be more than enough for that.

In fact, thinking about it now, because of the rework, I'm not sure what happens to the gem and flask tabs, for example. Guess we'll have to wait and see. But rest assured, 600 is plenty.

I think all things considered, I'm just going to wait for the full release, I want to experience first it as fully "finished" game, you only get that brand new full experience once. I could potentially be swayed by the beta, but I think i'm going to wait, I will be watching videos and streams etc though.

Good luck with the FOMO :p I've been trying to stay in a media blackout, but I caved last night and watched the interview with Jonathan by Talkative Tri, who is someone I can't stand. Going back on radio silence til the 6th, with the exception of teasers they release. Not that there's a lot to avoid, the majority of it seems to be streamers posting tier lists, which is a complete joke given the lack of info we have. It's not the core PoE streamers, they have their heads screwed on. It's all the other gaming streamers that are desperate to cash in on viewer counts.

Got my key this morning ready for preload

I hope I find the replay-ability high, I purchased No Rest For The Wicked in early access, got to the end of the content (About 25-30 hours) and then didn't feel the need to do a different character/run and fell out of love with it a bit..

So hoping this is different :)

Also, is there any difference in ordering via steam for £23.93 or $30 off their website, I assume the $30 is preferred as it all goes to the devs.

I haven't played NRFTW, it's one of those EA games I wont touch until 1.0 release. But those guys have started from scratch with an ARPG and have no other experience building the systems you need. GGG have over a decade of experience building PoE, and are bringing many of the systems over to PoE 2, and have been working on it for 5 years. They know how to provide very deep character building systems, and are masters at creating endgame loops. You will not be starved for content. The question will be whether you like it or not.

Sounds like 1:1 so maybe Valve doesnt take a cut for EA games? Idk. Prolly best to buy direct just in case. It will unlock on steam anyway. (or epic if you're so inclined)

It's weird not wanting to play the game early on

If I had the willpower I'd do the same. I would rather run through the story in it's entirety first time and then blast every time after. But we're only getting A1-3 and the story wont be complete. So do I blast now and ignore the story? It will dilute the overall experience when all Acts are available. So I play for the story A1-3 then left hanging til 4-6 is released. And then finish the story off. And we know there will be elements of end game that spoil something about A4-6 - whether it be biomes or bosses or other story-related spoilers in the atlas that they didnt cut.

Fact is there's so much hype and FOMO will be real. I'm looking forward to the discussions with mates and the community as much as playing it. Will be a real shame to miss out on all that added entertainment
