still need to get those unique jewels to reconfig my tree a bit more but having no luck with the thread of hope one.. messaged atleast 30 people on trade and its either no reply or they have "DND" mode on

managed to get a 6 link to replace my tabula too, its got ok stats and is corrupted but still better than nothing

Try live search. Got a thread earlier using that. :)

Binned off my vortex build and went back to a summoner, smashing out maps now, upto t10 so far, going smooth. :)

Make getting a chest with explode mod a priority. If it's 6L even if that's the ONLY mod on it, it'll make mapping so much better since we scale so much AoE and phys to fire

I have started this recently after a few thousand hours spent in D3.

This is one of the most confusing games I have played though, everyday seems like a school day lol.

I'm going for a toxic rain build, enjoying the game at the moment.Yesterdays discovery was that support gems need to be linked to the skill :o:D

My only complaint is that I'm unsure if I would play it again at the moment, I find campaigns boring and would just prefer to start playing freely - as I understand it, you are forced to go through the campaign each season?

Nope, if you play on standard no need to start anew each league although you might miss out on some of the league specific stuff, but mostly the good stuff gets added to standard a little while later, if you find the campaign boring you would only need to play it again on standard if you started a new char.

P.S. If you already started your toxic rain build on ritual league it will get moved to standard when the league ends, so you wont need to start over there, just be wary that stuff is hellish expensive on standard if you want to buy anything, as people have been playing 10 years as someone said earlier, so have insane amounts of currency.

It can be quite the game to jump into these days with all the different content from past leagues as part of the core game, once you do get to the endgame mapping however it is far superior to D3 in my eyes. It always feels like you have many branching activities that run alongside the usual mapping, giving you a feeling that you're always progressing in some way or another, rather than hitting walls because of your gear or levels.

There's plenty of people around who make great guides or explain the basics of the game, Zizaran for example has some pretty good content that refreshes with each league.

I think most would share the opinion of wanting to skip the main quest every time you play a new character, it can be completed pretty quickly once you have a bit of experience though (around 10 hours on league start, only a couple of hours on a secondary character with levelling gear). In hindsight I think I found the day one of grinding to level 70 without a carry in D3 more of a chore, I think a slight benefit for POE is that you will more often than not see your build take shape as you level, rather than the gear hunting only beginning at max level like in D3.

Been playing since the beta personally, really enjoying this league aided by the fact my current build is one of the strongest I've ever played, melting end game bosses easily and allowing me to focus on the "just don't get hit" aspect of their mechanics.

Second Maven kill last night. Took it from 5 deaths on the first attempt to none this time. That said I don't see myself completing the conditional kills challenge. There's too much going on for me to think about most of them while actually killing her

Thanks for the Youtube link - I have already watched a few different vids but I was unsure who was worth listening to / watching, so I'll check that channel out.

I love games like this where you can grind etc so POE should be right up my street to be honest :)

I have also heard mutterings about POE2, is that far away? Is it too late in the day for me to spend money on tabs etc?

PoE 2 should be thought of as another extension rather than a full on, completely separate game, so your stash and tabs will be fine. :)

The community would go absolutely bat**** if they ditched all the stuff people had spent years buying and building up.

Just started playing this game earlier this week, first game I've found myself playing until I'm too tired to keep going in a long time.

I've got to Maps which I believe is endgame but holy crap the amount of things I don't understand is great and super frustrating. I also followed a build from YT that seems very popular but the skill tree stopped going further than level 76 (ish) and I'm 81 with no clue where to go.

And currency, geez that stuff is gold dust, I had 10 Chaos Orbs and felt rich but PoE trade told me otherwise. How the heck do people make currency when getting gear after finishing the campaign ramps up into a survival game.

Like someone mentioned above I've checked Ziz out, and have some idea of PoE from watching streamers like Quin69 since his Diablo days so it's not entirely new to me despite playing Wednesday... did I say how overwhelming this is??

That being said, time to log in :D to grind some gear and currency, I wanna get me a Starforge? Some 2h sword that looks fancy.

Just cleared The Feared. One death due to standing in Atziri's Vaal Storm Call but I got them all down. Did it with no mods just to get it out the way. Bottled Faith dropped so that's a nice 8ish Exalts in the bank and my 24th challenge is complete

yeah im on ritual softcore and that would be great if you dont mind, ill pay it back

my character is BBChiefb if you want to add me
Adding you now, I'm by the name Bladfloster

slowly working my way up the maps. T7 so far and only need to find 1 more trial before i can do uber lab

Install Path of building, community. Import your character. You can plan your tree and it will show how adding nodes affects your stats, damage, etc.

End game is basically grinding for upgrades, be that via looting, crafting or buying, on ever tougher maps and bosses.

I think this might be the character where I finally push for level 100. It's not the fastest clearer I've had, but it just feels so effortless and smooth. I very rarely feel that I'm in any sort of danger and pretty much don't need to look at any of the map modifiers. I was in Delve earlier simply running down every side tunnel without a care, it takes until around 180 stacks of the darkness debuff before I start losing health, plenty of time to explore way off the beaten path.

Damage ranges from good to ludicrous depending on the enemy and how how well I can time everything down, If I'm not one tapping things then it's usually all over in a couple of seconds anyway.

I'm assuming your last ascendancy points are going into Valako for the endurance charge synergy? If so you're going to get WAY tankier when you get that. Also pairing it with Immortal Cry is great
If you haven't already I'd suggest binding Enduring Cry to left click. That way it will auto cast while you're moving. Makes managing uptime way easier
