Path of Exile(diablo clone)

I agree. I don't dislike the skill tree but I do think they need to make it possible to respec or at least an easy way to farm more respec points.

go to the class forums on pathofexile website, or sort out your build before here

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree

easier that way, I always plan out my build before I make my character. You can always farm the orbs and buy them to respec, just takes a bit of time.

Reading back thru a few pages and seeing the comments I'm glad I joined this Beta, never played anything like this before that I can remember, was gonna try D3 but not for £30-£40 when I might hate it.

Wondering if anyone more experienced with the game can give me some help with how my build progresses. As it stands I' currently a glass cannon fire witch (tree as it stands is - http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-...JG2ZPgUmCEIdlj0acLacIrrOvt7I42CTa3d-w7FXxbA==). Now whilst I'm doing great at the moment at lvl 24 i foresee some issues on harder difficulties without either some form of CC or going a little bit more defensive. I guess I can either build up some energy shield passives or duel spec as a cold/fire witch which could be fun. Am I thinking a long the right lines here? Or with kiting is it actually possible to run a glass cannon fire witch? Should probably mention I really don't want to go down the summoning route with this character.

Im level 12, have the worst items ever, just annoying, got to the warden, some guy came in my my party n killed him for me. I guess i ahve to keep farming that first part? cuz ye items suck.

I was having trouble with equipment at a similar level until I realised that making your own can make a huge difference. I bought an ordinary stone mace from Tarkiel. Plain white, nothing on it at all. Not very good, but a higher base damage than any other 1H weapon I could wield (I'm going for a tank-type Marauder, so 1H mace and shield). Then I dropped an orb of transmutation on it to make it a magic item. I had some orbs of alteration to change the magic properties on it, but by chance the first properties added by the orb of transmutation were very good for my level. The warden went from a very difficult fight with extensive use of potions to an easy fight with maybe a couple of potion uses.

Check out vendor recipes (lists are online) for what they offer in exchange for what items. For example, unidentified magic items will be exchanged for transmutation shards and almost any identified magic item will be exchanged for alteration shards.

not really a great idea to use orbs on your items though, best used for trading. I guess if your having terrible drops you could but meh, I'd rather just farm until somethin drops.

So, LOVED the ranger class, but can see it becoming very fragile unless built properly. Enjoyed the Shadow class, but very weak to begin with and I imagine not a very good solo class.

Time to try the witch!

Bit stalled at the moment, at level 31 on my Ranger and I'm trying to plan out the skill tree. I had a plan, but after more consideration I'm still not sure going for Iron Grip is worth it even though it is only a 5 skill point branch off to get it. Also has anyone used Mind Drinker? going for physical damage purely but 2% doesn't sound a lot, not sure if going for mana regen passives instead would be better off.

Like Tune said, its probably best to save your Orbs. Though if you are going to craft a white item because it has good links/gem slots make sure you improve the quality of the weapon at white level BEFORE you upgrade it to magical, that way you only use 4 Armor scraps or whetstones to get max 20%. If you dont then magical will cost you 6 and rare 8 to get to 20%.

Anyone want to level together, I can play a lot during the afternoons and 4 days a week like, 24/7. Going to get stuck into this I think really hard now since I've tasted it and loving it so far.

If anyone wants too my username is "King_Chris", currently level 29. I've got an open Teamspeak Server and a few other friends whom are going to start playing so should be a few off us hopefully.

Or if anyone has a spare Discipline Gem laying about, hit me up :D

Is everyone playing Hardcore? I don't see the point of starting on default, when on hardcore if you die you get moved there. Its a much better game for me and a better challenge on Hardcore, you really have to think about what your doing.

P.s For anyone interested here's a currency calculator for found items/orbs etc...
