Path of Exile(diablo clone)

The horror of Riping to an invader in the Library/Archives. A HUGE viper striking White Spider..the thing cornered me.. couldn't alt-f4 in time..sniff

How long does it take, I've always found the 1st loading screen to be a little slow (even installed on an SSD).

I suppose you could try reinstalling from scratch?

If you tried to Alt-F4 you didn't deserve to be playing hardcore :D

What difficulty were you on? If it was cruel/merciless, I am slightly (much) more sympathetic :D

I'll play, need to make a new toon as I dont have the gear for my main at the mo. Ambush isn't hardcore though, are you sure you didn't mean Invasion?

(I'm guessing you meant Invasion, as I couldn't find your toon)

Invasion was stupid in Merciless, literally one-shotted from off the screen.

I think it's been patched today, so be interested to hear how you get on.

Btw, still no chaos orb drops since the expansion...wtf!

Yeah many of the bosses have been tweaked - Hard luck on those Chaos - I have had a couple just you wait that Exalted is hiding in your next barrel :)
 
Got 2 uniques in literally 5 minutes last night. Normal Marketplace. One pretty good, one that I have trouble working out how anyone would use it.

Also came VERY close to dying a couple of times to invaders (as in, 2-3 HP, all pots emptied) - the Chaos Damage spider and the lightning-and-fire trap guy. Both of them I had to run away and find mob packs to kill to refill my flasks before turning aorund and blasting a few more %hp off the boss and rinse/repeat.

I think maybe I took Eldritch Battery a bit early, and need to get my defences up, so looks like some Docks farming is in my near future. Had quite a few 4-link chest pieces drop recently, so I think I'll keep going til I can find a decent Armour/ES one to quality and orb-ify.
 
My invasion guy has came close a few times act 3 cruel - Though on a plus point I did manage to down the flicker ek black spider.

I like the game only the 20 hours or so for me this weekend past :)
 
Well, Invasion guy Reeeeeeped.

Started a new session, entered a level (marketplace sewers normal, then ran past the blockage), neglected to activate my auras. Invasion boss right the other side of the entrance - it was the unique Vaal Construct. I got it down to ~5% with no problems then in an eye blink I was dead. Arses.

Have created a new character in Ambush to try out the 'strongboxes' mechanic - first one I opened dropped http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Ondar's_Clasp. Wahey!

That was my first unique to drop in Ambush as well :)

I love the strongboxes, more so than maps I think. I go hunting for them :D I really hope they make it into the main Standard/Hardcore league. I found 2 strongboxes over the weekend that contained only support gems. Awesome :D

Btw, up to 4 chaos orbs now. It would appear my luck has began to change :)
