It was made to fix desync.
Pretty much entirely solved it for me. Only time I lag now is when I have really high ms.

Rather tehn being a predictive mode it only moves your character wheb you say so but will feel laggy / clunky when you have a high ping
Its quite in depth in my opinion but getting started at lower levels and really until you hit the last difficulty (merciless) its not too hard and you could pick any build and cope well.
Ive just had a total nightmare with maps recently and now only have a 73 pool, was using 75s etc to get my hybrid SRS witch to 87 but had terrible luck with drops so levelling is at a standstill!

If you take a build guide from someone, like ziggyd or liftingnerdbro (both are streamers that do build guides for newbies) then its probably easier, however if you pick it up and just go with it, which will probably serve better in the long run, be prepared that your character will fail
The game is different to D3, its quite unforgiving if you dont know what you're doing, but i find it very rewarding when you get your build to work and take it to endgame.
Having no luck keeping a map pool above 75, in the end I just keep dropping back to those. Doesn't matter how much I chisel, alch, reroll with Chaos, kill every mob and smash every box/chest, it's just spurts of luck that get me to 76 - 78's for a short time then back to the 75's again.
Still really enjoying my Shock Nova build though

Still will keep on grinding these maps, luck has to change at some point
Dual flame totem is a great guide for folks starting out in poe, very easy & cheap to build & you can take magic find gear with it to help build some currency for later.
Personally I use neversinks tornado shot ranger but with split arrow for dps, I use tornado shot for the curse on hit set up.
Little tip for folks starting out, the order of importance when gearing is :
Cap resists
Health
Dps.

Its a bit daunting to start up with at first. Don't normally see a lot of new char play, its normally maps and such. However I'm just taking it one area at a time and trying to follow the guide.

Depends on your build - for flame totems yes move speed, but some builds dont really need it whirling blades/flicker strike for example
Open to suggestions guys for the next upgrades/points, mainly using split arrow/fire totem/minions an poison arrow for ele resist mobs.

will you be running power charges (kinda need to)? do you need the piercing? went for acro for the double dodge/evasion.
