Path of Exile(diablo clone)

based on oosbands loot filter:
added the highest tier of evasion gear + harbinger bow (best crit bow)
all this does is to not fade any of these bases. hope this helps :)

I'm using neversinks & that works fine for me, not sure if its aimed more towards crit ranger than others tho as thats his main spec, & also the one I'm using.

I'm using neversink's loot filter.
Changed over from ziggyd's one, and I like it better.

Currently onto my third tempest attempt...
Cruel Piety (the a4 1 - lagg spike) - rip1
Merciless Museem map boss - rip2
And now alive at lvl 54 cruel a4 - alive

Loving this new content and the release of this expansion.
Although quite a few quirks with lag spikes, changing between lockstep and the other mode is helping a lot.
 
Guy's what's the best route to take a poison ranger for high damage?

Like what works best, is it best to use a totem?

Arhhhh im really struggling with my end character defense :(

you mean how to scale the damge on PA?

get a good bow
+2 arrow gems
+1 socketed gems.
get a lvl 21 PA
get a lvl 3/4 empower
get some jewels with %chaos dmg
defense i gues stack life and go acro?

gem levels are the most important things for poison arrow.
 
Still one of the most addictive games ever, probably over 2000 hours played, one lvl 100, and several 90+. Just like with previous leagues I was back for 2.0, I am playing Kinetic Blast build and I have to say this build is so strong for what you have to invest gear wise.

However I am slowly starting to feel that I am either getting too old or that I have played this game way too much and I am slowly getting burned out.

Follow havoc's build, he is like lvl96 in tempest with his PA build.

Attack dmg
Chaos dmg
Area dmg
Life

Are all good mods for PA jewels.

Cheers havenrl im on it like a car bonnet, got a 6 socket 4 link bow with high Dps so im ok for killing :D

Im mainly struggling with what to use for defense like spell's or totems, when i grind Dry lake (merciless) it gets a bit difficult when the mobs an bosses swarm me.

Using a fire totem at the moment which is ok but no real game changer :(
 
have a look on the poe trading site to search for items to buy
http://poe.trade/ is site that searches the forums for you

cwdt - ic - inc dur best

cast when damage taken
immortal call
increased duration

is the gem setup

can buy from the vendors in town or search on the trading site for people online that are selling gems.

main currency used in trading is chaos gems.

but you don't need a high dps bow! :confused:
you need a +2 / +3 bow and then maybe attack speed if you wish
you want to scale the cloud not the arrow hitting the enemy :o

defences, a lot for PA is just mechanical evasion as you should always be on the move. I currently play an acro / evasion LA ranger and my cwdt setup is: cwdt - arctic breath - gmp - chain to chill / slow down mobs that are getting close.

I also use a doedres elixir to keep up all the charges but I don't generate Endurances charges except from the elixir.

ice shot - curse on hit - gmp - vuln
grace - arctic armour
frenzy
chaos golem - fortify
rally cry
cwdt - imm call - incr duration - vaal light trap

anyone still going strong?
i'm currently struggling to keep up my map pool :(
seems I can't sustain 77+, but 75s are fine.
Guess i'm not blessed by the RNGesus ;)
 
I've a good pool of 74s atm, but took a long time to get that far, dreading getting higher, but the 74s are a horrible pool, worst set of maps in any level as far as I've seen with them taking maze out.

Malevolence, if you have an ssd I would move the game to that, load/patch times for it are horrible on a mech drive, always have been, only takes a few seconds on an ssd.

see I had a hard time sustaining 72s first but once that was done it was a breeze upto 75 and now i'm stuck again.
 
I got to 78 on my LA Ranger but got a bit bored, so levelling a reave character atm. Wanted something a little more fast paced and considering they fixed desync I wanted to try whirling blades again.

And If malevolence is having the same problem I am, its steam that is patching really slow. Takes me 15-20 mins for a 100mb patch, and the download finishes after like 2mins. Really annoying.
