PATIENCE - IF PLANNING TO BUY A 50 SERIES..........

Nvidia have had 28 months from the 4090 launch to prepare for this launch, production was halted months ago on ADA yet there will only be a handful of cards available, smells like artificial scarcity to me to push up prices on an already overpriced product.
It's price rigging at it's finest, And it starts straight from the top and all the way down to the retailers.

Same **** different year. Gpus being "scarce" at launch no matter how mature the manufacturing process is. Yet we're meant to believe these multi billion dollar corporations simply can't anticipate demand for the past 30 or so years.

I still have a sneaky feeling Nvidia has hoarded most of the 5090 stock for the FE. Lets hope the FE retailer has thousands of boxes ready to make their way to us

That retailer is having a launch day event on site and in the small print it says that FE cards will not be available for purchase.

This probably just means that you can only access them through a link from the Nvidia website that leads to a hidden page on the retailers site?

Hey all, how long do we think it will be before these new cards start appearing in builds for sale on the website? I really want to see something like the OcUK Gaming Germanium Z7 but with a 5080 or 5090.

I think the Zotac card is so ugly
Oh thank god you said it. While one shouldn't buy a graphics based on looks, as soon as I saw it it was an automatic no from me. Even if they were the only ones in stock I rather slum it with the peasants card, the 5080...wait nope cant do that either.. I will just keep using my 10 year old card. :P

i've never bought a card because of it's looks, good or bad. That's a hilarious way of choosing a piece of hardware. And goodness knows, I've owned some awful-looking cards including the original Geforce 5-series with the flouresent green fan shroud (oof).

That said, I really think we've entered a new "golden era" of horrendous-looking nVidia AIB designs. The Manli cards, for example, last gen we're bowl-shudderingly bad. Palit is, as usual, leading the carge with Zotac coming in a close second. Who on Earth design these things and what market with abismal taste likes them?

On the other side of the fence, the AMD cards range from classy to very cool in looks. nV AIBs really need to take a clue.

Oh god those manli cards. Funnily enough I think my fave looking 4090 is probably the most boring to most people. I haven't owned many founders cards before but I really loved the 4090 founders edition. Simplistic and very little in the way of RGB but I really enjoyed how it looked.

I always thought ichill cards looked really really bad especially from the 3 series. It looks like there is a party going there and not the good kind and everyone is throwing up. It’s like if manli and ZOTAC had a ginger step child the ichill would be it.

It's like the monolith from 2001 A Space Odyssey, dark, mysterious, foreboding and full of power.
