PC-7 'real-life' shot please

Anyone using the EX-23N as apposed to the 33?

Can't afford to lose 3 5.25's so the 23 looks like a good option. Just wondered how much space is between the drives as its smaller than the 33.

Cheers,
OP :)

I ordered the 23 last week so hopefully it should turn up soon and then I can let you know :D

And to keep things going here's my PC-7

What did you use to do that? I like the idea of doing it black, but don't want to do it if there is loads of effort.

Some more/better shots of my PC7, plus the brilliant cooler...

It's currently laying on it's side as I have my external HDD running internally at the moment.

EDIT: I need to get a C2D system in there ideally, this AM2 one is naff!

Well, I just opened the case and It's a really damn nice case. However, I was shocked by the number of wires there are :( (my first build)...I have couple of questions.

1) The wires of both fans are connected to a 4 pins connector. Do I need to connect the fans directly to the PSU. Or do I take those and connect the fan directly to the motherboard.

2) There are AC97 and HD audio, which one do I connect to the motherboard.

3) Where do I connect the Firewire cable to the motherboard? The USB cable will be connected to the USB sockets on the motherboard but the firewire?

Cheers.

1) yes you can connect them straight to the mobo
3) it depends if your mobo has a firewire port, if not you would have to plug it into a firewire pci card

1) The fans should have 3pin connectors, and an adapter to make them 4pin molexs. So straight to the mobo, or if only the molex, straight to the PSU.

2) Depends entirely on the mobo you have, most only have AC97 (well, used to), so you'd want to use those connections.

3) If your motherboard supports Firewire, then yes, there will be the pins for it, the same as the USB ones.

Personally though, I didn't use the stuff on the front, I thought they were pointless and I don't like having them so close to the floor - easy to stand on. I do however have a front bay that has card reader, USB, sound etc. built into it, so that helps. If I didn't have that though, I'd have USB PCI plates at the back, and USB extension leads. :)

top stuff mate. Look forward to hearing all all about it :)

So my 23ex thingy came today. Looks to be about the same size as the standard hdd bay so three will fit with a bit of a space between them. If you've got two harddrives you're laughing cuz you can space them out, and the fan at the front should keep them nice and cool.

I can take a couple of pics if you want?
