PC Game Pass (was Xbox Game Pass for PC)

Disable auto renew on the ultimate so you don't get charged on renewal.

When it runs out, re-sub to the PC one at the normal price.

No way to convert it back to normal PC sub from ultimate.

ahh good good first thing i done was disable auto renewal then i seen the price and thought wtf lol

that sounds good cheers m8 i just need to remember in june :)

Yeah thats what I loved about it, just games I wouldn't have tried. Though personally I love Hellblade but we're all different. I think the best find for me on game pass has been Dead Cells, definitely something I never would have gone for ordinarily.

I can't seem to find the banner you guys have mentioned saying games leaving soon. Although I have just noticed a warning symbol over Abzu which I have installed saying its leaving soon, so that's pretty good if they've just added that extra warning.

I think that's something else about how it changed my approach to games. I was kind of enjoying Hellblade. The set-up, the audio and visuals were really great. The combat was basic and repetitive, though, and I found the whole looking for patterns mechanic quite frustrating, BUT if I'd bought it on Steam I think I'd have played it through and probably thought reasonably well of it.

As it was, I'd also installed The Surge, West of Loathing, Undertale, Superhot, Battlechasers at the same time. Because they were all there and I'd gone a bit "kid in a sweet shop"! So when I reached a point where I'd been looking for three symbols for half an hour for the fifth time, I just played something else and I've not gone back to it.

I basically just started having so much fun in The Surge and West of Loathing that I didn't haveenough drive to go back to it.

I've never had so many games on my system at the same time that I'd kind of playing, but not sure if I'm going back to or not.

It's not the fact that games will leave the Pass that bothers me. It's the lack of communication and transparency that led me to sink time into something that I didn't know was going to leave the pass so suddenly.

Certainly something Microsoft should be looking at.

Sony clearly displays the dates that PS Now games are available until.

There may be a reason why Microsoft can't give the same amount of notice. But surely at least a month is possible, with a firm exit date, and with a better way of getting the information to customers?

I know exactly what you mean, I definitely tend to think a bit differently when I get a game free or through a service like this. I've not really played Outer World's much, even though I found it pretty good, I'm sure I'd give it much more time if I had purchased it fully. Another example was Subnautica that I got free on epic store, thought it was really good but started playing something else and haven't gone back to it since.

Yeah, its that cost of purchase which affects how much you use it. A bit like how you don't pay for your wife, so you don't often indulge in play there but you pay for the hooker so you want to get the full moneys worth.

Following the Xbox Game Pass accounts on Twitter is probably the best way to keep up with things.

I really shouldn't have to do that. The games should show me when they will be leaving game pass, which shouldn't be hard to do as the contracts will determine the length before they're added.

I've played quite a few games now I might have otherwise bought on Steam and saved probably £200 if I'd bought them full price, or £100 if on sale. So will keep this service for a while. Ended up with Dead Rising 4 now which isn't that bad at all, though I've played the other games in the series and know what I'm getting into.

One cool thing is it's set at the same of year we are now, just before Thanksgiving in the USA, not a bad time to play it.

Subnautica on the gamepass now for anyone who hasnt already got it (HIGHLY recommended imo)

got that on epic store for free but a good heads up for other people and is on my back log, really enjoying the outer worlds but for some reason im finding it really easy during the combat, is it meant to be easy? playing on normal, the reccommended setting.

Its a very underrated game one big mistake MS & Capcom made was not including all content for free as you need to buy the season pass DLC to get all the other great content they made for it!

Yeah I'm enjoying it a lot, obviously isn't a Resident Evil game but it is still a Capcom zombie game, if people like Re2 Remake and don't mind a more comedy free roam style with vehicles, it definitely is worth playing. Hundreds of zombied compared to a group of 10 or so in RE games.

I’m finding with these all you can eat services like Origin Access, Xbox Game Pass is that I’m not finishing anything. I download a few to try, start playing one and then move on to the next after a day or so. And it’s not that the games are bad, they just feel different to play when you haven’t bought them.

It's very much this for me too, exceedingly reminiscent of my youth when it was all the rage to have pirated games, never really spent anytime playing them.

I don't think i'm the only one that think that these passes are getting a bit much? I already have a backlog of a steam library and these passes only offer such a small amount of game (diversity wise), I don't think its worth it. Maybe it ain't for me but there is far too many at the moment.

So are my eyes deceiving me or you can get 3 months of ultimate for £1 at the moment? How is Microsoft expecting people to pay full price when they are used to these kind of deals.

I think that's the first purchase, then the next month are at full subscription price (£15 I think)

Is anyone else able to see the Show All Games button on the Xbox Beta PC app any more? It seems to have disappeared from mine.
