PC Game Pass (was Xbox Game Pass for PC)

Jeez reading all these comments about how to do the ultimate trick is giving me a headache lol

Wish there was a simple guide as everyone seems to do it a different way.

As it stands I'm half way through a £1 ultimate trial. I would like to do this trick.

So would I need too:

Purchase 3 x 12 month xbox live gold (brazil, EU, doesn't matter)
Turn off recurring billing
Enter the 3 x 12 month xbox live codes
Then click "upgrade" on my account for £10.99
That should convert all those years of xbox live gold to ultimate

Could someone please confirm the above before I go ahead? thank you!

EDIT: on my xbox app it just says "extend" or "manage" no upgrade option, that mean I can't do it?

Yes.

You'll need a VPN if not buying UK Live Cards.

I have cancelled my trial. Bought 3 months of brazil xbox live gold on cd keys for £90

Waiting for the codes now. Will use VPN to log into Brazil Microsoft account, redeem all 3 codes. Disconnect VPN, log into Microsoft UK account, purchase 1 month of Ultimate for £10.99 which will upgrade all to xbox live ultimate.

I think it should work, works out to be £2.80 a month then

Downloaded the Halo Master Collection. Tried Halo Reach and bumped it after the first mission. Same with Halo 3. Just didn't grab me at all - not a fan of the weapons or the terrible AI. Why is this series so popular?

For me in the original ones, it was playing with mates together. It's light hearted, big explosions, blasting aliens together etc.

I followed what you said and ended up with the upgrade option of £1. Although Im not sure if you should turn off recurring billing when you put the years worth of gold code in as it gives you a month's free if you don't. I turned it off incase it didn't give me the upgrade option.

Remembered I had a years gold card unused in the back of my cupboard from when I had 360 years ago. Also found another one for a month. Bought a year off cdkeys so sorted until Nov 2022.

I thought the maximum is 36 months of xbox ultimate? so I should accept recurring billing after entering each 12 month code to get a free month, so it'll be 40 months total? 36 + 3 + 1 month upgrade

Nice one, that's a decent length. Glad it worked. I'm currently waiting for CDkeys to email me the codes so I can VPN and use the Brazil XBLG. Hope it goes through!

I have just done this. It worked, was a bit skeptical when it took a while to process.

Starting 30 September 2023, you'll be billed every month at £10.99 until you cancel. We'll email you ahead of time if that price ever changes.

Very happy. £2.80 per month including EA Play & Bethesda games! feels very weird getting access to so many games for this price.

Don't forget I only had 2 years so I should have accepted. Oh well.

nostalgia they were probably the first online games a lot of people played.

So apparently if you have xbox ultimate and ea play, then when ea play is incorporated to Xbox ultimate it'll convert any ea play time to ultimate at 3:1. You can get 12 months ea play for 20 quid so just 4 quid a month ultimate.

Potentially a nice way for those without the £1 upgrade or still using up ultimate to top up. Not quite as cheap as the £1 option but still very good.

To be clear, it only works for those with EA Play on Xbox. PC membership doesn't count (sadly).

Bear in mind Reach is 10 years old, and the most recent game in the collection. Halo 3 came out at the same time as Crysis, Bioshock and CoD 4: Modern Warfare (2007). These games are old now.

As somebody who had never played any of the Halo games before I felt the same. I did manage to play all the way through Reach but can't work out why it's so popular. I didn't like most of the weapons or find them satisfying, just overall I didn't rate the gunplay.
