PC Game Pass (was Xbox Game Pass for PC)

I think it's because the PC version has to be redone using DirectX 12 instead of Vulkan so that it can go on the Windows Store.

Hi all,

I wanna try this 3 year xbox thing.

I currently have xbox game pass for pc - it just bills me every month 3.99 rising to 7.99 i think

Can i do this trick any time? As far as i understand its the following steps:

1. Buy the Brazilian cards from Cdkeys
2. Log into your regular Xbox account (not a separate Brazilian one) via a Brazilian VPN
3. Redeem the cards
4. Log out of the VPN
5. Upgrade for £1, and that will upgrade all of the gold time on the account for max 3 years

I do i need to do anything inbetween any of those steps?

Don't take the free month option when offered if going for 3 years.

I cancelled by renewal, I'll still have access until the end of October which is also when the prices go up.

Mind you it isn't the price specifically that made me cancel, I've just ran out of games I'm interested in on game pass. I played through Shadows of War, RE7, Yakuza 0, Halo 1 - 3, and several indie games, so I absolutely got my money's worth for the 2-3 months I've been subscribed. I expect I'll do the same sort of thing I do with Netflix, resub for a month once or twice a year when there's a build up of games I'm interested in playing.

The platform was a little buggy at times in various respects, there was a week long period where I couldn't play Shadows of War due to an error not related to my own setup and I had some problems with saves being deleted for other games which was unfortunate. That said I bought into it knowing it was still in beta so I can't complain too much. All in all it's something I'd recommend, extremely good value for most people I imagine, and that's only looking to improve in the future.

Cool thanks, my cdkeys order is under review so waiting for my keys atm.

Yes. Your keys will eventually appear on CDKeys, it can take a few hours though. I couldn't login with VPN, but I entered the codes after I had logged in and then activated the VPN.

Going for the 3 years brazil as well. Waiting for the purchase to be reviewed by cdkeys.

Already double checked I have the £1 offer in place.

I've been debating going for it (and whether to go brazil or not) for a while now. It's the fear of them pulling that offer that pulled the trigger.

I reckon the offer stays in place for a little while after the release of the next console.

Anyone know if the EU codes on CDkeys work for UK or not? Found a seller on Eneba with ~£40 for 12 months for UK. If I'm paying £40, I'd rather go with UK. Bumps up the price a bit, but oh well.

So I just went with £40 codes from Eneba. Now got 3 years of ultimate. And all UK codes, so no fear of them cracking down retroactively.

It looks like Microsoft may have charged me £10.99 and not £1 though? According to my paypal...

Yes, ultimate is both PC and console.

Think I did get charged £10.99. Oh well, even with that I'm still happy with the 3 years of ultimate.

I don't think it'll work then you'll have to wait for it to expire. Not sure what adding to an existing ultimate pass does.
