In case anyone else made the same mistake as I did - Steam refunded my payment immediately without complaint, so I could order from Play instead.

He he too slow. Just read that reason for it being removed is due to expired music licences and its not worth them re-engineering it or paying for the licence. Unusual reason for removal though. If thats the case surely it will disappear everywhere because its not just Steam removing it for their reason.

Historical Lowest Price: £15.99 at Steam on 2/16/2017
or £9.99 for the season pass.

if using chrome you should install an extension called enhanced steam. will tell you on the page of the game on steams website, the lowest price the game has ever been and when it last was. might help give you an idea when a deal is a good deal, and if it's been recently on one so unlikely to come back on a deal in the next week or so

Thanks for that, I'm hoping it comes back to that price soon. I'm dubious about using the cdkeys website.
 
have used cdkeys a few times never had a problem with a game key, once contacted the help desk and got a timely response my 12 month xbox live key would not work but it was a issue at my end with the xbox live login platform and i sorted in the end.

Bought quite a few games from them too. They're always the cheapest for pre-order games which I've done a few times. I can't see how a website selling pre-order keys could be anything but legit anyway... I mean how would you obtain keys illegally ahead of or on the release date?
