Free weekend for AC:Oddy, I'm downloading on Ubisoft launcher because although it says it's on steam there isn't an actual link, do Ubi games bought through steam still have to be played on Ubi launcher?

What I know, yes.

Edit: Just logged into uPlay's launcher and they have it there to be played free. So if you were planning on getting it through steam and play it there, no need. Just use uPlay directly instead.

Understandable. But up to you. For a free try run on a really good game, might be worth it thought ?? If you don't like the game, just uninstall it. :)

Oh I played a bit on my PS4 and I liked it. I'm basically downloading it as a benchmark, I have the Division 2 as well. I just don't want to split games over Steam/Ubi/Epic/GOG as much as I can help it.

Well, if you have GOG, just use their Galaxy 2.0 and then you can see and use all games through that launcher ?

Must admit I have also taken a shine to the GOG launcher for non Steam games. You still have to install the other launchers though but you can configure GOG to fire up the other launcher, start the game, then auto quit the other launcher each time you run a game, so its as if it is not there. Good to be able to gawp at all your Origin/Ubosift/Epic/GOG games in one thumbnail view. You can also add your steams games too if your want a really stupid number of games thumbnails to stare at. Me I keep Steam separate as that is running all the time. The GOG launcher finally got me to install the Epic launcher after abusing their free games, now I can actually see what games I've blagged, whilst pretending I still have nothing to do with Epic.
